A month ago these were $52 at Umart although commenters noted they'd seen them for $49, and the cheapest price on StaticIce at time of posting is $68.

      SSD = improved speed/performance = system drive
      HDD = cheaper = storage drive

        One reason I would recommend this drive is for the purpose I'm using for, which is to switch out a 10 year old, slow, worn out laptop 2.5" Hard Drive Disk with this new 2.5" SSD.

        My mum uses her laptop on occassion and instead of buying a fresh new laptop I thought I'd get a fresh install of Windows 10 on this SSD so the laptop will have new life.

      Bit anecdotal, but I had the 500GB version of this SSD fail on me tonight after purchasing elsewhere in Nov 18 (read 6 months old), so that's a no from me. Samsung SSD's I have in other systems holding up fine after years though.

        Internet seems to think that it's pretty reliable so I am gonna give this a spin. 5 year warranty apparently.

        But that's not a good sign.
