  A fair price for nearly 2 year old wearable I think, would definitely not pay more

  Telstra's regular price is only $240 according to the "17% discount"

  I still use my Gear Sport and its definitely a great buy even now, I'm considering getting this as a gift.
  In a way this watch is superior to the current Galaxy Watch Active as this has the rotating bezel to control the system while still being essentially waterproof for swimming.

      Galaxy Active has 0.1 of an inch smaller screen.
      The Exynos processor in the Active should be more powerful than the Exynos in the Gear Sport. The Active has a smaller battery but the newer processor will mean higher efficiency so battery life for both should be about the same.
      Both watches run the same OS (Tizen), both watches support NFC Samsung Pay payments, both watches are water resistant up to 50 meters.

      The only feature the Active gains over the Gear Sport is a blood pressure monitor.
      So in my opinion the Active is much worse than the Gear Sport, the rotating bezel is so great I wouldn't switch even if Samsung offered me a free upgrade.

  Purchased this for $215 about a month ago and would highly recommend this watch.
  From my research it was on par, if not superior, to the current Galaxy watch active and the gear S3 frontier.
  In its price range there is no competition with GPS, HR monitor and Spotify offline.
