        Yes I am. But my work PC goes through Singapore VPN so my location would not be logged correctly by AGL.

        Just checked the link on my phone, and sure enough, it shows 31% off gas.

    Tip: do a comparison online on which of the provider is actually cheaper.
    I have been using AGL for a while and they are more expensive even with the discount, only found out when I did a comparison.

      True, always need to compare and everyone's cheapest provider will vary depending on your location and usage habits. I compared online and AGL was the cheapest for me.

      Yes i dumped AGL a year ago.They have high unit prices and supply charges and then offer a discount to fool consumers.

    In ACT/NSW its Energy Made Easy, but I'm sure other states would have Government initiated comparison sites.

    Double check your plan/offer with what's noted on these websites, just in case there's better available.

    In July of this year, the federal government is regulating all retailers to move customers to lower plans if they are on more expensive plans. So automatic relief for some.

    I've been with AGL for many years - at the end of the 12 month offer, I'll compare my rates and then sign up with another supplier with the best rate, and each year I get a call from the AGL retention team and they match the competitor's offer and I stay with AGL.
    I am prepared to change supplier if AGL don't match the offer, but I stick with AGL for the flybuys points.

      I switched after leaving agl on 20% discount and for the past 4 years they keep trying to win me back. They were offering 14% discount 🙄
      Now up to 18% 🤣
      I tell them every time they ring if they cant even beat their own offer i left on to not call me.

      FYI for anyone wanting to see what AGL can offer at the moment (in Victoria) :

      I put in a request to switch to Simply Energy (RACV offer of 45% off Electricity / 30% off Gas), and was contacted by the AGL retention team who offered me 44% off Electricity and 36% off Gas.

      AGL NSW, Residential Saver Plan, Electricity only, paper bills, cash at Post Office (not direct debit) and getting 43% off usage that's BS just messing with your head getting 24% off usage maybe i should give them a call need more punctuation.

    Anyone in Adelaide SA secure a good Elec/Gas Plan recently? Simply Energy Combined with RAA have 25/18 Elec/Gas Discount. AGL offerings currently suck! Origin not sure prob similar to Simplys offerings. Each offer a change over amount of around $50 or $100 per service for new customers.
