  this console has been in it's grave for quite a while now. You'd be silly to purchase. It is so far behind current generation its not funny.

    Dude, there's quite a few good games on the system (mostly Nintendo first party titles). I don't think it's silly to purchase a Wii eventually, so long as the price is cheap (cheaper than this).

      Chances are Wii 2 will be backward compatible, so unless you're hanging out for a Wii you'd be better off waiting IMO - provided you're not a candidate for Uromysitisis poisoning (Seinfeld ref)

  My Wii is rattling and making an horrible sound. But we are not playing it that much anymore, which is a shame since it was great fun. But wait … winter is here, maybe with some rainy cold days ahead … Should I buy ?

  Finally a wii deal that beats what I got it for last year (black wii and wii sports/resorts combo for $150). Real bargain here especially with mario kart. Great fun to play with mates!

    The remote has motion plus built in. It does not come with Wii Sports or Sports Resort. This is the new Wii pack from Nintendo. Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort will be available separately. I can obtain the full details (and most importantly, price) on monday morning :-)
