[PC] Free - Twinmotion 3D Architectural Visualization Software @ Unreal Engine (Epic Launcher Required)

670

Twinmotion will be a paid-for product in November 2019. Until then, download it for free as an early adopter and keep it for free forever.

You must first claim the software via the web site. Then start Epic Launcher to download, install and use the software.

Twinmotion, is a 3D architectural visualization software that allows you to create projects so that clients have an immersive experience in real time. It allows us to produce high quality images, panoramas and videos of virtual reality in a very short time, all thanks to an intuitive interface based on icons with the power of Unreal Engine.

Now Epic Games has bought the program, and offers it for free.

The company is expanding its Unreal Engine 4 toolset with a system that allows modifying 3D models in real time and making them presentable and realistic, including the possibility of adding meteorological effects on the fly. The software will be free until November, so that anyone who downloads Twinmotion before the end of the promotion, can continue to use it forever without having to pay anything.

  • Whats the catch? You need Revit and Archicad models?

The catch is it's through Epic Games.

Jumped on this earlier, these programs go for thousands. I didn't even think to put it on ozb. It takes most 3D formats, much more intuitive for cad users than Lumon in my experience. Must have for anyone in building design or architecture and students, even if you're not going to use it for a while. Promotion ends in November when they expect the first updates to be rolled out. They've stopped supporting bimobject and other 3rd party objects, replaced most with their own.. and probably pushing people to their marketplace.

  • Thanks OP looks great to play around with on weekend

  • Wow! Looks like an impressive toolkit. Thanks for the link!

Now to learn how to use it…

I believe they'll start charging for it after Nov rather than it being free. It's a subscription based service, and a pricey one (as almost all CAD software is).

I'm keen to try it out as an alternative to my professional workflow of Sketchup/Revit and Enscape/Vray.

I assessed it for my company but it's just way too pricey and hard to use for most people when up against Enscape which is about as simple as it gets, if a little glitchy.

Just read the fine print above. Happy to be proven wrong. I'm sure the EULA excludes commercial use or some such but that really wouldn't matter for most.

    • Couldn't find any references to subscription fees.

      • Actually I think I'm confusing it with Truemotion.

Nonetheless I'm keen to try it out.

Still believe Enscape is the best option on market for this sort of thing right now though by a clear margin.

Hell of a lot cheaper than Truemotion and Lumion.

        Can't beat free though!

      • The free version will most likely be severely crippled. That's standard practice these days.

  • Shame we can't add it to our account for future download (even just for current version).

    • You sure?

Almost sure.(Keep the free version, so we not having the add to account feature which give u update automatically?)

How long will Twinmotion be available for free?
Twinmotion will be free to download until November 2019; after that, you will be able to keep using the free version indefinitely. From November 2019 onwards, new releases of Twinmotion will be available as a paid-for product.

  • Thanks, this is very helpful… :)

Please remember to zip and store the binaries/folder somewhere on the Internet.
We might only get this version and never able to download again.

  • We need to keep it installed it sounds like? It doesnt have a installation file that we can download.
