Happy with this tv I purchased last deal, delivery from these guys is very slooow. Check out the reviews of the freight service they use. https://www.google.com/search?q=hunter+express&oq=hunter+e&a…

Lol @ hunter express, the same mob that took forever to deliver my zzz atelier mattress!!

I had the opposite experience, my delivery from this deal took 3 days. Another TV I purchased earlier also arrived within 3 days and I ordered during the Christmas period.

    • I had the opposite. ordered from melb, was available to be delivered within 2 days got it on the 3rd day because I wasn't around on day 2.

      • To Sydney my TV was delivered in 4 days so no issue with the delivery.

        • The problem arises with Hunter Express if things go wrong. They have No customer service number and their tracking is terrible.

    • Lucky I just went through all the delivery reviews from hunter express. What a joke. At this point I cant be… With these 🤡
      Thanks

      • I've just received my order exactly in the time stipulated on eBay which turned out to be less than 1 week from date of order. Tracking worked perfectly fine as well and I can see it took about 2 days from warehouse to delivery.

$995 from Bing Lee and $949 from Billy Gutatts. Not sure about interstate shipping though.

  • How does this compare with the 2019 range of TVs.
Bing Lee has the 65r5 for cheaper

R5 is equivalent to P5 of 2018, you will need to step up to the R7 to match the P7. Letter refers to year of manufacture and number corresponds to series.

    a $1080p TV. Wow!

  • How does this compare to Samsung UA65RU7100WXXY for $200 more?

    • Supposedly the image is better. I have the 55" version, all good with it. I compared them a lot in reviews… Hisense wins in picture quality too, the software (including updates) I would go probably with Samsung.

I actually am impressed with the Hisense software, it works just fine, it just is missing some apps that I use. Plex can be accessed but just my home server, not online ones.

I use a Telstra android box anyway so the software updates do not really concern me.

      • Thank you

      • I've used Plex with remote servers before in the Hisense app without a problem on a previous model (can't remember exactly which one it was). Granted the Plex app was kind of basic but worked fine for what it needed to do.

The one thing to keep in mind that almost swayed me to Samsung is that they have Airplay 2 in their models now so if you are in the Apple ecosystem this might be a big factor.

    • UA65RU7100WXXY for $200 more?

This is not the best TV - got one in the last deal 2 weeks ago. Ghosting issue is a big problem until u take the picture to 24p which defeats the purpose of smooth picture..
Google it you will see many forums talking about this issue.
    Stick to SONY, LG, SAMSUNG

soon as you turn off smooth motion, its incredible after that!

Awesome deal, Just bear in mind that these guys use Hunter Express for freight. Just hope nothing goes wrong because they are uncontactable. Bro just had a TV delivered 2 weeks late after ordering and there was literally nothing they could do to expedite the issue.

Concur with this. Bought the same TV, which is excellent by the way, from the same company a few months ago. Had a terrible experience with Hunter Express (cost me a few days' annual leave trying to receive delivery - were impossible to get in contact with). Will not buy from this shop until they sort their logistics out.

    I wish I could buy every deal I up-vote

The tv and the deal might be alright, but please beware of the courier being used Hunter Express. I am amazed that they are still in business, they are absolutely hopeless. Was a nightmare taking delivery of a split system aircon unit couple years ago and reading up on current Google reviews, it seems to me that they are still delivering on their $hitty service.

Anyone know what the input lag is like on this tv? I want to upgrade my tv though I cant play on TV’s with high response time, anyone use this TV for xbox / ps4 games

    • +1

It has gaming mode which brings the lag down to nothing. I can't feel any on it.

      • If I may ask jaimex2 - what other modes does the TV have?

I've noticed the LG seems to have a normal set of modes you can use and then a "HDR" version of modes you can select?

        • There's a cinema one. I think that's it.
