  • When I tried to book it comes as $189.00 for the long weekend is it because of the long weekend?

    • $189pn was the same price for me for the 2 nights over the June long weekend.

  • Couldn't actually find any dates for $159. It's coming up as $219 per night for me

    • 219 isn't bad. Unfortunately I'm not looking at going during this period otherwise I'd book

      • This is also good rate. I booked at this rate in April this yr. That time it was with breakfast included.
If you try from expedia you can get cash rewards. This will come up in the room options for booking at seaworld.

  • Never been there but would like to take kids.. how many days' stay will be good to cover all parks ? Its for 13 yr old and 10 yr old kids

    • +1

      1 day per site normally.

      • +2

1 day per site us generally OK as per above, but movieworld can get pretty busy so a second day doesnt go astray there (especially if you're into thrill rides). Sometimes the lines can be an hour long. If you go on a weekday though 1 day is more than enough.

Can easily take your own food in (in a backpack or get a passout) if you want. Food in there is pretty expensive.

        • Thanks a lot

          • @niagraBzO: It's June, Wet and Wild maybe cold then, 1/2 day and 1/2 day at Paradise Country.

Full day at seaworld and movie world. You are staying at seaworld so you can walk over.

I was there beginning of the month for 5 nights, I only had four days to visit before leaving.
I went to wet n wild in the morning, then to paradise country, that place is hidden behind wet n wild and movie world, there was not really any signs, looks more like a driveway, does not feel you are driving to a theme park. Young kids would like it.

I only have the morning breakfast buffet (it was included), it was great.

One thing I was not prepared was for was the amount of guests at once (weekends, school holidays), the customer car park is full. So many rooms, the room I got needed renovation. You need to get up early for breakfast, before 8am, there will be queues but people do not hang around, they have theme parks to go to.

    • We booked 4 days but did not visit paradise country.
4th days was split between seaworld dolphin show and movie world.
      1 day/park is good.

  • June period only guys for under $200

  • Thanks, anyone have any deals on the buffet?

    • +1

Buffet is amazing, in true OB style I took ziplock bags and made sandwiches for the days outings each morning and staff didn’t mind. Huge variety.

      • +2

I'm torn between negging this comment as its taking advantage of a deal… -and could spoil it for the rest of the people, but given it was only a few sandwiches, I guess its not a massive deal, and going towards good idea…if you where filling the bags with everything, I guess it would be much worse…

        • I've seen kids ride into Woolies on their scooter, fill up their eco-bag with the free fruit for kids, and ride off straight back the way they came

        • +3

          Quite the crisis you're facing

  • Do you actually get to hang out with Spongebob and Patrick?

      • Sweet. And it's not just for kids, I see some adults in the paw patrol photos.

    • No they are just a water park feature

    • Patrick looks creepy af in that thumbnail

  • is there any info on the stuff that will be closed during those times?
I used this last year with the family and every park had a few major rides closed for maintenance; understandably because it was off-season.

    • +2

All ride closures and scheduled maintenance are listed on the parks website. Here’s the Movie World one for example.

  • Are these theme parks still popular?

    • +1

Extremely. It’s not too bad outside of weekends and school holiday periods, but during those times they all get incredibly busy. Movie World seems to be the most popular (I’m local, have held annual passes for the last 5 years), expect to wait in line for about 45 minutes to an hour for the popular rides in school holidays.

  • How often is such deal? Annually, around the same time frame? I'm thinking either this vs snow from Vic. Thoughts?

    • Depends on if your kids have seen snow or been to the the parks and how old they are.

You can always do a day trip to the snow.

    • It keeps popping up now an then, sometimes with breakfast sometimes without. Basically cover off holidays period.

  • What's the breakfast like in seaworld? I've been there for the dinner buffet but not for breakfast yet…

    • Last time we stayed there it was an average and well stocked buffet breakfast. Not worth the $19pp every day but a good treat for my kid.

      • Do they have cooked to order omelettes??

        • last time I went there, they do

    • It was included with the deal I got, it was great.
I see people eating gelato for breakfast.

  • Does it include access to the theme parks on the day you check-out too?

    • Also wondering this

    • also want to know this… ?

      • +1

"First time here, was placed in the park wing closest to Sea World side. You can hear the truck and workings going on in the park before it opens, around 6am. Not ideal. Brought a package on line with Theme park ticket and full buffet breakfast included. Its the better way to go. You can check in at 9am, leave you bags and you can start using your park passes that day. You can also use the park pass the day you check out. Had a double room, 2 queen beds. Room was big enough with a small patio. Free Wifi. Huge pool,"

    • +2

Reports from previous deals are that you get a pass for the day you check in as well as on the day of check out.

      • Okay, thanks. You think they would mention that in terms and conditions…

  • Decided to pass on the following reasons:
    1. It's cold, so kids won't be able to enjoy Wet n Wild
    2. There's no Dreamworld in the package (deal breaker)

    • +1

Your call of course, but it's averaging over 20 degrees daily in the Gold Coast at the moment, and Dreamworld is owned by a totally different chain (ardent group) so won't ever be on this deal (village roadshow group). Friends love staying there with their kids so I reckon it's a good deal

    • What TheLurker said.

Also, with $50 million being invested into Sea World, it’s going to be massively improved over the next 18 months.

  • This deal has been extended, might be better of removing it being expired as opposed to starting a new one.

    • Thanks for that. I've contacted the mod to see if they can set this to live again.

  • All the dates are blacked out now for anyone else?
