Pay for 2 lunches get 1 free. You can just sign up now and you'll receive the offer which will be valid until 31 August!

China bar buffet on Burwood Highway, Melbourne.

For lunch only Monday - Friday (Normally $29 per adult)

I've had lunch there twice, wasn't too bad. The only few Yum Cha buffet i know of in the South-Eastern suburbs. It also includes fresh sushi, sashimi, few selection of pizza, salads and deserts (Quite a selection, including Éclairs and even Crème brûlée!)

Dinner is usually a LOT dearer ($55 on weekdays)
Note: Peking duck + Seafood is available only at dinner - Quality buffet for $20 is still good though.

Excludes public holidays and special events.

Spam email, fake mobile number. Problem solved.

    • Meh, wouldn't mind filling in my details. wouldn't like to miss out on any exclusive promotions.

  • i'd have to say, they have THE BEST BUFFET by far. or should i say, IN THE WORLD! but i've only been there for dinner.

    • -2

you better go to the conservatory at crown. then you'll be like, china bar? that's so yesterday

      • Conservatory = meh

Try the Buffet at Melba…THAT's a good buffet!

      • +2

yes i think his point is…Chinabar is NOT the best IN THE WORLD as littlemissbargain puts it.

        • Hahaha I guess "best" is subjective. Tried quite a few buffet places, including Conservatory… Didn't really like it. China Bar dinner = peking duck & sashimi & seafood plus all the other awesome stuff, including you-choose-it-they-cook-it… So, I'll stand firm on my previous statement hahaha..

      • I went to conservatory a few months ago on a Friday night. The food there isn't worth the price. The variety and taste aren't that great. Just my personal opinion.

        • +1

Once you hand over $100++ that these places ask for and excrete the following morning, the buffet that was best is of little importance.

      • +2

Try going to the Wynn or Bellagio buffet in Las Vegas then you will know what an amazing buffet is. Let's just say that JUST the Dessert section is the size of the entire conservatory spread, and half the price o__o

Oh how I miss those buffets…

        • +1

+1 to that, whole heartedly agree, Vegas buffets are beyond compare!

Beat me to it, heard this on the radio earlier but hadn't had a chance to ozbargain.

I've only been to weekday lunch here, it is an excellent meal, though I've heard weekends are better.

(edit: if you're unsure because it is a "China Bar", don't be put off by the name/franchise, it is a better lunch than anything its little siblings could dish up)

  • Been a few times, haven't been since they jacked it up to 29, bury this seems like a good deal

    • Woohoo. My first post and not a negative…. yet. =D
Also i was going to mention that. I thought it was initially $25 for lunch before, so i guess they did jack it up after all =S.

  • YUM I love China Bar! Thanks for the post

  • Awesome, thanks! Pity it's only weekdays though…

Their lunch and dinner are fantastic - lots of good quality food. However, the weekend lunch feels a bit rushed due to the 1.5hrs limit. Weekend dinner @ 2hrs is ok.

  • FYI. "Seafood, sashimi & Peking duck are only available for dinner"

  • farout….any equivalents in Sydney? i want yun cha thats not going cost much more than that, i eat wayy too much

  • +1

need more buffet yum cha in sydney people!

Yum Cha wish your dumplings were hot like me…

  • Second only to a buffet I went to in Las Vegas , this has to be the best buffet ive been to in Australia. The dessert selection is incredible (all you can eat creme bru le or however you spell it), tons for your value (i.e. all you can eat sashimi sushi) and it all tastes GREAT - and I only went for lunch!

WHAT IS THE PRICE?? WHERE IS THE PRICE LIST????

why can't they put the price
    -each person
    -how much is this deal
    -what's included?

    • +3

      Dude, you kidding right?

"why can't they put the price" - its in the title.
      "-each person" = $20
"-how much is this deal" = $9 saving, normally $29 for lunch Monday to Friday.
"-what's included?" = Yum Cha buffet and "It also includes fresh sushi, sashimi, few selection of pizza, salads and deserts (Quite a selection, including Éclairs and even Crème brûlée!)"

      Might be time to give 1300 6 555 0 6 a call? Just saying…

      • -2

No need to be rude… It's actually not very clear and you've included a lot of irrelevant information…

The actual price is $29 per person (no saving) the only saving is if you have a 3rd friend and then pay $19.67 ($58/3) each.

Also putting dinner for $55 is pointless, that's normal price, this offer doesn't apply to it, and the fact that dinner is usually "a LOT" dearer is also irrelevant and confusing. There is no dinner deal at all so the correct statement is dinner is always and still is $55.

        • LOL really freaky? You think that was rude? As you can see despite my first remark I still sought to clarify their questions, which you obviously have assisted by providing more detail and good on you for that. But did we both not get our answers from reading the post and the link? Anyway as for the last remark, that was obviously tongue-in-cheek directed to the enquirer's use of caps lock, the meaning of which we all understand.

        • There is no dinner deal at all so the correct statement is dinner is always and still is $55.

You fail English, that's unpossible! :p

        • @stewballs lolz :)
          @freaky I didn't neg ur comment matey :)

    Momos all the way!

  • This isn't in Sydney.

    • yes put the location in the title so then people like in sydney or anything else doesn't get excited

i was excited about this hoping it would be sydney only to find out its in melb
good deal but need location in the title

      • Ah sorry sydney folks, i've fixed it now!

        • damn straight op, no love for NSW! Just because of this deal I had to have yum cha today - wasn't buffet either but came to $25 a head (all patrons satisfied but could easily have downed more dumplings for that nice overfull feeling LoL).

  • if it is ONLY in MELBOURNE, please mention it in the title!!

  • Sick, I've always wanted to go and now I'll definitely swing by !

  • Not valid for those who study/work full time :(
