Mac Minis are loooooooooong overdue for an update, I would wait even if they were $200 off.

    As posted on WP

You might wanna check out DJ first, I was at Castle Hill store earlier and the salesperson was willing to make a deal, even said that they price match other store without being asked (10% off from DSE a few weeks ago), so it can be a substantial discount (much more that $100) Plus if you have a DJ store/Amex card they can do 24 month interest free as well.

I tried to get this with TheGoodGuys a few weeks ago, can only do pricematch or interest free but not both.

    • Salesperson at Myer offered me a 2011 MBP i5 13" for $1200. I won't name stores or people, but that might help. I definitely will be getting Apple @ Chermside to match when the insurance payout for my previous computer comes through.

And no, it was not Myer Chermside.

  • Stack this with the student discount and I'd bite. Maybe.

  • Apple stores will beat this price…

38 positives? Where is the deal here? The semi regular 10% off at DSE/WOW is much better than this.

    • +1

Its definitely a deal for those who want to buy an Apple computer 'now'… and besides who knows when another 10% apple deal from DSE will occur next.

      • +1

10% off Apple sales happen at Myers quite often too, not just DSE. And if you're a —real— Ozbargainer, you'd already have the right amount of Coles Myers gift cards purchased at xx% off, which combined with the 10% off sale = yy% off. I cbf searching right now for past deals like this. Do it yourself and you will see.

Having said that, yeah if you "need" one right now lol, it is a good deal, but not a bargain per se.

Where's the best place/way to get % off gift cards?

  • If someone bought this thinking it's a good deal, then they'd have to be mentally retarded.

  • 44 positives and hardly any comments? Something is a bit fishy.

  • Remember that you will get a $20 myer gift card for every 2000 points
