What Size Hisense P7 TV Should I Get?

Hi,

I am wanting to get a new TV and from reading the forums the hisense P7 is the TV to buy.

My question is what size should I get?

My local JB-Hifi has the P7 55" for $895 and the 65" for $1495.

I currently have a 55" LG 4K tv that I just moved into my bedroom so I need to replace the tv in the lounge.

would going for the 65" be that much better over a 55"?

Thanks David

The biggest you can afford and is suitable for your room. The general good sale price they've been is around $800 and $1200 so don't pay the above prices at JB.
Edit: actually the 65 has been as low as $1034 and $1056+delivery

  • You could get the 55 inch now and save up for an even bigger/better tv later. TVs seem to be getting cheaper and a 55 P7 will be nice to have around the house too.

I have 55” and want bigger but 60 would be very similar so just waiting for another year or two until 70” drop below $1200

Go for the 75. I got the 65 and when my parents got a 75 i wish i did ):

The 65p6 is 20% off at app;iance central on ebay at the moment.

  • how much room have u got and how far away are u from the tv
I remember back then there were certain distances u need for optimal pictures but the new telly's might not matter

dunno if this is accurate but look into it

It depends on how large your room is. Get the biggest tv that is suitable for your room.

    • I say biggest size tv that is suitable for your room plus 5". Just for the extra boost

  • I just upgraded the little 13 inch tv in my bedroom for a 55P7 and thought wow, this is amazing. At the same time I was also thinking I wonder if I should’ve gone bigger. It’s funny though as I was terrified the 55 would be too big for my room - the only reason I went with it was to future proof myself so that it wouldn’t end up small by future standards.

If it were my lounge room, I’d of gone for the 75. Your budget might not stretch that far and/or your lounge room might not be as big, but as mentioned above get the biggest one suitable for your room (that you can afford).

    • It is funny how you say get the biggest one suitable for your room. But when you look this up, a 75 inch TV actually requires a very large loungeroom. rtings suggest you need 3.20m between you and the TV for optimal viewing of a 75 inch. I doubt in my lounge I have 2 meters between myself and the TV!

      • Obviously, yes it does depend on space and the size of your room. Small houses/apartments etc wouldn't be suitable. I'm lucky to have the 3.20m distance for my bedroom tv (although feel my 55 inch tv is enough) and a greater distance for the loungeroom tv which I hope to upgrade to the 75 inch. So if you've got the distance and space, I'd always say bigger is better.

Get this if you want a cheap TV.

Otherwise bigger is better at 4k.

Edit: For the price of the 65", you might want to consider this.

      Kogan TVs are horrible. Avoid.

  • Hey all,

thanks for the replies and sorry for the late reply I didn't get any notifications that anyone had commented on my post.

is this the 75" that is being recommended?

    Thanks David

    • Yes. But perhaps at a lower price.

  • 75" go big or go home!
