Ozito 18V Brushless Drill Skin $49.89

How much extra are the brushes?

  • +2

    No hammer drill again =(

      • any idea of the usual RRP for this model? (ie. the hammer drill [not brushless])

    • what would you use a hammer drill driver for?
I find them quite useless, only good for sandstone/brick drilling. Usually they are no good at getting into concrete anyway, at least not without messing up your drill-bit.

IMHO get a lighter drill-driver (easier to work with) and a separate SDS driver for masonry drilling.

I mostly do masonry drilling at home. Like it to be more functional than drill driver.
The only drill I used the most for the last 20 years was the cheap XU1 hammer drill (corded). Current drill is still alive and well but just recently lost the chuck key =( Still use it, but wanted something portable in 2019

  • What about the brad nailer?

    • +2

i hear he got a hammering

    • The Aldi one was out a couple of weeks ago - I think the Ryobi was dropped to match, but I missed it and got the Workzone one instead.

      • Actually, new Aldi catalogue has the brad nailer back next week as well as other power tools (hence this bunning price match deal). Its $99 skin only. Wish Ozito would do a brad nailer.

        • Didn't see it until today - this one's 18v instead of pneumatic!

Of course, you're paying $99 versus $30. Still, that portability might come in handy… Maybe I need to do a return of mine…

What’s the RRP of the main drill in this post?? The brushless one. Now $49.89, RRP $????

    • Price hipster says $79.90 :)

  • Can that impact wrench take off wheel nuts?

    • Yes. I use it for that purpose

      • Thanks, I'll give it a go

    • i certainly got off when i used it on my wheel nuts

  • Anyone know if the multi tool goes on sale regularly?

    • +2

only when aldi sell theirs, at which ozito magically becomes 1/2 their normal price ..

  • bunnings get their money back on 4ah batteries which are priced at nearly twice that of aldi ($69 vs $40)

  • Just bought one from Aldi for $50, not brushless but it has 2 batteries with it.

  • Waiting for battery price match with Aldi.
Does anyone know if i walk in and ask for a price beat. Will they honour it?

  • Ozito Power X Change 18V 4.0Ah Li-Ion Battery down to $39 (was $69).

Thats interesting the aldi impact wrench has 350nm vs ozito 215nm

    • Is ALDI currently selling the impact driver by itself?
That's a massive difference and week would be a good step up from my underpowered 140Nm Ozito one. All I'd need is a battery adaptor, as I already have 9 4Ah and one 5.2Ah Ozito battery.

      • I'm not sure which one to buy I have ozito batteries but no aldi batteries or charger. Is 215nm enough for wheel nuts.
