Hey guys, my first bargain? Was looking at graphics card and came across this one. I feel that the price is quite good for this specific card.

    yeah I know haha, I really wanted to get the new RTX cards but can't justify it since I already have a 1080 and I thought that was expensive

    Not really.

    2080 is about the same price as 1080 Ti while offering slightly faster performance and RTX …

      And the 2080ti is as expensive as a titan.

      Nvidia used RT hardware as an excuse to bump up each product category a price tier (2080 selling for 1080ti prices for example), despite offering the bare minimum (8gbs on a 1080ti replacement, seriously?)

      Worst part is, beyond the optimisations for dx12 and vulkan, the cards offer nothing over the previous gen for the vast majority of people.

  I'd discourage buying before we hear about Navi. Navi won't be around this tier of performance, but knowing Nvidia they'll be wanting to do something to one up AMDs announcement (hopefully meaning a moderate price cut to bring this down to reasonable prices for those who'd want to buy this…)
