Anyone used these before and can comment how well it works?

    • Would like to know this too

  • Reviews on amazon seems just ok.

If its just okay for a $149 product it may be great at $37. Though complaints are just about misleading capacity.

      • Maximum capacity of just one cup or 250ml….how much less can it be before it's not even worth a bother to froth.

        • 250mL haha… It actually says max frothing capacity 140mL

          • @ATangk: In the description above.
I didn't bother to open the link once I saw that.

What is this? A milk frother for ants?

Don't know if its inflated RRP but the EMF2 can be had for $49.95 shipped from Amazon

    • Bothered to open the link on this one

        I didn't realise babyccino's were so popular.

    • It has to be at least three times bigger than this!

The pictures looks very similar to my 1.7L boiler :)

Aren't the little hand held ones at Ikea under $10?

Or just heat milk in microwave and use a whisk with two hands to simulate a mixer

    • +5

Or just blow body temperature air bubbles with a tiny straw, or a syringe for a couple of thousands of times to simulate a hipster barista.

      • +2

        Gross

        • Agreed. Blowing baristas seems a tad extreme in exchange for a decent coffee…

  • too expensive to ship

  • 250ML frother is a Frocking JOKE !

  • Are frothers worth getting in general? I've had a coffee at a mates place a while back and milk was nice but nothing like what you get at a cafe.

    • +6

Doesn’t produce microfoam like what you get at a cafe. These are meh and washing them is annoying

      • What is the cheapest way to get something that could produce microfoam? Bellman or cheap Sunbeam?

        • Only auto machine that I have seen produce micro foam is the automatic steamer that comes with some breville espresso machines.

    • We have an aerocino at our place (came with our nespresso but can be purchased seperately) and I find it super useful. I used to heat milk on the stove and use a hand held frother but using the aerocino is great. Easy to clean too. I don't know about the frother in this deal but in general I really like using a frother.

  • Not sure what you guys are on, it's probably good for about 2 coffees. No, not XL size Starbucks with caramel mixer but a decent coffee.

  • Make it a litre and then we can speak…

    Forget frothers!

I use a stovetop espresso for my coffee, gives me perfect results, but I could never get decently frothed milk for my coffee.

So I bought a Sunbeam Mini Barista coffee machine on a half price special at Good Guys, and use the steam wand for perfect frothed milk.

It also has the benefit that I can use the Sunbeam if I have guests - the coffee isn't as good as the stovetop, but fine for occasional use!

Oh come on store rep, you couldn’t give us a coupon for free postage 😂

  • Free postage please

  • Tried then when shipping was added didn't bother.

Can get a white one from amazon for 49 delivered as normal price minus cashrewards so probably cheaper.

    • Yeah, shipping killed it for me too.

  • Haha when I first looked at the pic, I thought it was a weird shaped kettle.

Postage killed it with me, can order it through Amazon prime, get free delivery and manage to save 5c in the process.

    • Presented in a DeLonghi box.

Well that "feature" is definitely worth it!

    • Missed that critical selling point. Here, take my money

Would buy only if its FREE shipping, otherwise I wont bother

  • Put my 2c worth on frothers. Very convenient and quick, and most come with two attachments that go in the bottom and spin to generate different levels of "froth". One attachment looks like a spring about the size of a 20c piece and generates a lot of froth, which limits the amount of milk (probably the 140mL capacity) before the lid pops off and milk oozes all over the bench. The second attachment is like a small plastic wingnut, about the width of a 5c piece. Generates much less froth and doesn't pop the lid off like the first spring attachment piece. You are more likely to get 200-250mL of milk heated using this. Aldi do these for about $29 and seem to be pretty durable: https://www.aldi.com.au/en/groceries/coffee/coffee-detail/ps…
