i can't believe this simple plastic bottle was cost $45??? which fools would buy it?

    • -8

      Your mom bought 10

      • +4

I thought this was mildly amusing at least.

      • +2

        This isn't North America.

  • Cheers OP ;)

  • +4

Does anyone know if this has a tea infuser in it or is it just a drink bottle? Thanks.

    • +2

My read on that is that the bottle can fit one of their infusers, not that it contains one!?

      • +1

Ahh you might be right, the way I read it was that it has an infuser.. Fergy1987 mentioned below that it has an infuser so I'm not sure.

        • Either way, one of us is right! :)

EDIT - I'm certain if it was included it would be pictured!?

          • @carlenet: All of their other products listed seem to have the infuser attached to the lid? In that case, wouldn't it be visible through the glass portion? scratches head

    • Checked Item details and Capacity includes infuser though I'm not sure what that exactly mean. It also shows up when you search for Flask with Infuser as type

  • This is not even glass?

Edit : The HTML header for the page says Glassy.

    • The description of glassy according to google is: "of or resembling glass".
So it might or might not be glass.

Edit: If you sort by material, it comes under glass

  • It has a plastic lid not good at all.

    • +1

Yeah that doesn't seem smart or healthy…

  • What difference does this have over a normal water bottle. The description is very limited. Is it safe to handle boiling water in? Does it have a filter or defuser for tea leaves? Does it have any other features over a thermos that should be known?

    • -1

      a) Yes
      b) Yes
      c) It has an infuser

Basically Make your tea……let it sit for 30mins, Remove infuser. Then put in fridge

      • +2

Can it handle boiling water? Most bottles marked as not being dishwasher safe can’t.

I’m confused. If it can handle boiling water, it should be dishwasher safe. If it can’t, how do you make tea?

        • I would say its due to the rubber thing around it that its not dishwasher safe rather than the plastic.

          • @Fergy1987: I usually just remove that from tea bottles before putting them in the dishwasher. It usually pops off and it’s common sense to do so.

I’d expect the bottle to specifically say that the seal is (obviously) not dishwasher safe, rather than marking the entire product as such.

          • @Fergy1987: Rubber thing shouldn't affect microwave use though.

      • Thanks but just wondering how you know it has an infuser?

      • I reckon it can't since it an iced tea infuser and not dishwasher safe.
There's no images of the infuser but it has an infuser under capacity so it might include one.

        • +2

Surely they cant sell something for $45 retail where you have to make iced tea in a separate vessel, and then pour it into this….that's just a drink bottle then.

Although it is T2 - it wouldn't surprise me.

          • @Fergy1987: Can't you cold-brew tea?

            • +1

@FireRunner: Some teas, and many tisanes.

But with many teas, that will just result in slightly teaish water.

  • +13

This is basically worth $1 from aliexpress

    • +7

      with 5% cashback

    • they will say :your mum will pay $45 to buy

    • +1

Care to share a link? I am interested.

  • +1

Not suitable for microwave or dishwasher.

    • +2

I don’t get how it is suitable for tea then. Surely you’ll be pouring in boiling water?

Maybe only for cold infusions (but any bottle can do that).

  • +7

Thanks OP. These are great for $10, ignore the haters.

Also comes with Band 28, NFC, and nil pricejack for that fresh ozbargain goodness.

    • No Alexa support though

  • Thanks, this will make a good gift for someone.

  • The billing page doesn't seem to load for me? I have tried multiple browsers…

    • +3

its a sign - save your money!

      • Haha, true but the ozbargainer in me needs the bargain

  • +2
    • looks nice. its annoying they're so vague about capacity.

      • +1

        532ml

    • The product you recommended is currently out of stock in black colour.

    • I reckon so! Picked one up, thanks for pointing it out :)

    • Thanks, got one of the Coral ones. Just what I need for all those $5 loose leaf teas the other day.

  • Is this better than VOSS bottle?

    • I'm guessing it's made of plastic so it is in fact inferior.

Edit: If you search by material type it come under glass

    • No

    • Absolutely not, Voss is the drink bottle of choice for the pros.

  • Is this plastic or glass?

  • +1

    Thanks OP!

  • At 10 bucks, many will consider this a good buy despite the inferior quality. But I'd suggest add another $20 or so and get a Zojimuri flask from Amazon. Those things are amazing and keeps the drink piping hot for hours.
Source: I've got flasks from both brands.

    • +4

      Zojirushi?

      • +1

Yeah sorry zojirushi. Was lazy, didn't double check

    • I tried looking for Zojimuri but I could find nothing on Amazon. Do you have a link at all?

    • +2

I think he is referring to zojirushi

    • How about Contigo, it has good reviews on Amazon. I searched Zojirushi they reviewed the appearance scratched after used.

      • +1

I’ve got one of both. I have a Contigo Autoseal and a Zojirushi flask (latest model from Tokyo)

The Zojirushi has superior insulation, and is easier to clean. The Contigo Autoseal is easier to drink from and has a larger opening for ice cubes.
My Zojirushi hasn’t scratched either, whilst my Contigo has scratched a bit.

  • Thanks OP I grabbed one.

  • +1

I am coffee person still bought one. Ahhh ozbargain.

  • +1

Screw this, not sure if glass or has infuser.

Stupid product description is stupid, no sale.

    UX sucks!!

    • It’s plastic BPA Free

      • Thanks man, no sale then.

  • Can you use the code for free shipping on anything from T2?

  • +3

I think the free shipping coupon has expired? Doesn't work for me.

  • Promotion code is not valid…

  • why ICE tea?

  • Works with T2EFSHIP

    • Excellent, thank you for the update!

    • +1

      No longer valid

  • Looks like no stock left of any colour:

"We apologize that some products are no longer available. Please update your shopping bag in accordance with the product availability status."

  • I'll order it after dinner I says, Promo code is not valid it says ><

    • They must be monitoring this post like a hawk now lol.

      • I'm so sad. I needed a new drink bottle

        • +1

Ahh apologies! Hopefully another coupon gets dug up soon!

  • +2

FYI 'T2EFSHIP' is giving me "Promo code is not valid"

    • +1

      T2WELCOME worked for me :)

  • +7

we're buying this because of the price drop, not because of its actual value or because we need it.

    • +3

Even at $10, it's too expensive.

    • Yes indeed.

Theory says there will be less sales without the number 45 being read.

  • +3

T2WELCOME works for shipping too :)

    • Thanks. That works.

    • Thanks, managed to put through another order.
Got shipping notification for first order.

  • That seems like a manufactured deal to me

  • Worked for me, cheers op

  • Grabbed it, good deal with the 7% ShopBack.

  • Was out shopping and called into a store. They said this is for cold tea, not suitable for hot drinks. Not sure if they just said that to try and increase sales of other ones suitable for hot drinks or not.

    • melbourne central does not have this one at all, any feedback from the people who received it?

      • I don't think they actually had it in the store I went to. Though as soon as they said it was for cold drinks only, I didn't bother looking.

    • It does say Iced Tea Infuser in the title

  • Anyone had theirs shipped yet?

    • Not yet. Seems to be taking a bit longer than usual.

    • My order has just been dispatched.

      • Hahaha mine too now

  • +1

Just received mine but it didn’t include an infuser? Just a water bottle. Anyone else?

Edit: Prob should have done my due diligence, pretty sure this doesn’t come with an infuser. Just an overpriced water bottle. Got carried away with the massive amount of up votes.
