  Never understood bench press or squat stands without safety bars. How can you train alone with weight that pushes your 1rm? Bench press is just awful to be stuck under. Squat is hardly better.

    Safety bars on bench press just get in the way of the movement, I always take them off at gym. But this isn't the ideal type of equipment to be constantly going for 1 rep PR's all the time though.

      I am a bad person. I bench in my squat rack and occasionally use the monolift attachment too.

      My home unit has inch increment in the bench zone so I can have it set up for minimal interference.

    Personally I'd prefer the torros as it looks way more solid and has a wider rack (everfit only goes up to 85cm) plus the extra features on the bench. Each to their own though.

  I got a second hand version of this off gumtree a few months ago for my work accommodation. Have a proper set up at home but wanted something to mess around with when away for work (every other week).

  It's served us well, considering. It's not well built enough to push your 1RMs as I wouldn't trust it with those weights. But I just scale back the weight and scale up the volume and it certainly helps.

  The squat rack is strong enough to support enough weight to get a workout, and the lat row thingy is kinda cool as I can't deadlift where it is. The bench is solid enough.

  Doesn't replace a rack with safeties, but decent value at this price.
