    maybe your kids need a new "monitor"?, tax rebate thingy for students.
    or you run a home-office, or you need a pc to follow you share investment portfolio etc etc.
    plenty of ways to "claim" the expense.

      if normal pc speakers would work then should be no probs.
      they are OK, but for a few more dollars you will get much better sound from the better models.

  BTW the lexar 8GB model is jumpdrive VE as well and had problems being recognised. Also keeps losing data and is pretty slow as well
