      I hate that about Uber Eats. You're going to see that delivery time climb by like 7-9 minute increments until you fall asleep.

        Had to call up to cancel my order, couldn't wait any longer. Ubereats tried to contact the restaurant but no one answered so they immediately refunded me.

    just got mine delivered. my uber delivery driver is loving it, he showed me a picture of about 20 orders waiting to get picked up at mcdonalds, and uber are doing a 30% surge additional payment to get more drivers to deliver.

      Had an idea that would happen. Had my order ready, entered the code at 12am and checked out. A few minutes later the app said some restaurants were available due to high demand.
      Delivered 17 minutes later, eaten in 5 lol

    Put in a complaint from the Macca's website if you're one of the victims of the click bait and I'm guessing they'd at least be sending out some vouchers. I'll give it a go.

        Set my location to my mates address who had a working maccas and added items to cart, then at the cart I just changed the delivery address to mine and the order went through.

      It does say participating stores, so it's possible a bunch opted out. My store was not normally that busy this time of night, but some are packed with drive thru orders on saturday nights, so perhaps they opted out rather than deal with the massive influx of orders.

    Got mine delivered, Cost was $3.45 all up, since I used up like $17.50 so part of the delivery fee was discounted. I guess if I had purchased $14.05 I would have paid $0 with delivery.

    Omg think I just got scammed, did my ordered paid about 5 dollars, the delivery driver drove past my place never delivered anything and then drove away and it came up in my app delivered.

      Happened to me too but on my first order except the guy was riding a bike and took forever to come. After a very pleasant long wait, the guy went past the place and it came up as delivered too. I went outside and i see him looking around for me. Even though it was ticked "delivered to door" the guy blamed me for not waiting on the street for him… really???

    Guys getting restaurant or any part of order unavailable, before you jump on to hating just go back to home on the app and refresh, then try placing your order again.

    I'd assume due to the volume of orders the website's going buggy, but no reason to mindlessly layer on the blame without much thought.

    For those that ordered, maybe you can try your luck and show your order in store like many other Ozbargainers have done!
