Dewalt Brushless Drill + Driver + 2x 3ah Batteries $259 @ Bunnings

280

High quality drill and driver double pack, with two nicely sized batteries. Ideal for just about everything except extremely heavy commercial use.
Considering just a year back that a deal for just the drill and a single 6Ah battery sold out at $180, this is exceptional value.

If 3Ah isn't enough for you, they are also selling a 4Ah version for an extra $40

$259 is for the kit with 2x 3ah battery according to Bunnings wetsite.

    Not 4ah in the title.

    • Noted. On mobile so it's a mistype, but they do have the 4Ah kit for 299 as well

      • Belmont WA has 6Ah ones with the same kit for $279. There were a few left yesterday evening

    • Here is a link to the 4ah kit at total tools, price is $0.25 cheaper so bunnings may beat by 10% if they have it in stock.

      • You have shared the link to trade tools. Can't find the 4ah kit on total rooms. Is gettoolsdirect a good site to buy from ?

    Bosch blue, 6 year warranty.

My mates got Dewalt brushless. Work fine… Battery was made in…. One of 5 different countries. Which seems a bit slack on the quality front.

That's the one in this deal, yeah?
Have a read of the comments. They don't sound good.

I own the drill from this pack, been using it for the past year and I have no qualms with it. Battery manufacture is not something I'm too concerned about, as they aren't making the lithium cells themselves.

I commented on that other thread.

The impact driver in this is the dcf787. While the dcf887 is ok, the dcf787 is a much lower end tool. The only things going for it are that it is brushless, and has the 887 shape (but without speed control). But it is generally poor quality.

It's also rated 15Nm under the Bosch in terms of torque. I would prefer the Bosch impact wrench, even though I think it is also underpowered.

As for the drill, I have the DeWalt one and mostly now use it for stirring paint. The Bosch one in this deal is far better. I just got one, and it is an absolutely lovely piece of kit. I'm not sure whether I like it more than my Makitas, but it craps on the DeWalt.

The DeWalt has 2 x 3Ah batteries, while the Bosch has 1 x 8Ah. Theoretically there is an advantage with 2 batteries, since you can use one and charge the other. But in reality the Bosch 8Ah goes for so long that any weekend warrior would get a full day's use out of it, maybe two.

Hands down Bosch kit is better.

Also, the DeWalt has a 3 yr limited warranty while Bosch has 6 yr if you register it online on the Bosch PT website.

  • I have bought this set from Sydney tool promotion with 4ah batteries. They are great for diy for home. However, my drill is slightly off centre for which Sydney tool was happy to swab for me.

  • I bought the drill and a single 6Ah battery for $180 last year. I swear that deal is a gateway drug into dewalt eco system. I bought a blower and trimmer to use that 6Ah battery.

Still waiting for something similar for the impact driver.

    • same thing in here.
end up buy more Dewalt tools.

recent changed to AEG cause Bunnings was doing special.

  • Bought this yesterday, the quality of these drills are second to none in my opinion at a comparative price point and level. Especially for someone who is just an avid DIYer who wants to get 10+ years out of these!!

They are also selling some cheap HQ drill bit sets too!
