  • Anyone used this before?

    • Yes, they seemed quite good comparatively. Especially good for people with preexisting conditions as it was a lot easier for us to get appropriate/good cover with them and at a reasonable price (a few years ago now).

    • Use them all the time. Have had no issues claiming for flight delays, luggage delays and damage to luggage over the course of many years.

This has been ongoing deal for quite some time. The previous deal somehow is shown as expired. However, I used the coupon from the previous deal 2 days ago.
Very cheap option for domestic travel as includes Rental car excess waiver $7500.
Costs just $77.26 for 15 days for 2 adults (+ free cover for children) with $0 excess.

Is it possible to get a refund from at the end of the trip assuming no incidents occur?

Is this open to non residents of Australia? (Tourist in Australia)

      Wtf?

I know medibank does a refund if you dont use the insurance, hence the question.

It is possible, but you will need a flux capacitor and a Delorean.

Yep, Don't forget tourist tax refund for another 10% back…

  • Terrible company when it comes to make a claim.
I had a claim about damaged electronics during my USA trip in 2017.
Korean airlines demanded to put my laptop in my luggage at check in and screen was damaged later. Unsure it was damaged in plane or on my way to hotel after the flight. I found out next day and informed them. They accepted my claim at first.
I returned home and sent my laptop as they asked me to do. They denied because it was in baggage area, and cover was only if I have them with me all times. And they returned my package…
Furthermore they claimed I lied them suggesting I didn't have to put my laptop in baggage. They had no clue about USA flight rules.
Stay away form this company. Can you imagine you are in hospital and they are playing up with claims…

    • Who do you use now?

    • If you look at the PDA, not even 1cover would cover that, if you left your laptop in bag and got damage.
Unfortunately to you, jewelry or electronic items should be with you all the time.

Edit, you should be angry at US government, while ago they disallowed large electronic items inflight, I don't this its the issue anymore.

      • I am not happy about US government decision that not allowing electronics inside the cabin but this is nothing to do with Insurance company (as far as I concern it is politics only).

The insurance had accepted initially but refused after I sent the laptop in Australia
+ they argued that I was allowed electronics inside cabin.

Yes, I should off read PDA but I didn't (how many people read those booklets?). I took the insurance and assumed I was covered for any damage or health matter. I was wrong.

I wanted to share my experience about this company treatment.
You are informed, and it is your choice if you take their policy

        • What happen is unfortunate but what I'm try to say is that no insurance would cover what happen to you and don't assume you covered.

  • I use online travel insurance to book. Without the code still comes up cheaper than these mob. I haven't yet to claim so I can't comment on it.

Travel insurance is something where finding the lowest premium is a very bad idea, as claim success chance is the main concern.

Only situation it makes sense to cut costs are countries you are forced to get travel insurance for, and you otherwise would have yolo'd it and gone without.

I was in the USA and I got auspost travel insurance, my card was stolen and didn't have any cash, they refused to do anything, I had to call my bank and they transferred money from my bank acct via western union

  • No surfboard cover. They hide it in their PDS by calling it Marine Craft.

  • Thanks OP. Insure and Go may not be the best but they cover a lot of pre exisiting conditions.

  • if you are going to Bali it offers volcano insurance cover for additional $9.88 Per Person

and they offer payment via paypal. (I leave my wallet downstairs, it's just too far)

  • The Groupon20 code worked for me just now.
