Damn bet me to it :)

    • +2

      alright, $5 it is

      • Placing a $5 beat?

        • +1

More if your car has a bigger tank. Will be handy to stack with using my star cash cards that I bought at 5% off

  • Good timing

    • -3

Get in before the price jacking

  • How does this deal stop you from filling up a non-Toyota and getting the discount? Let’s say you had two cars, one being a Toyota. Could you fill up your non-Toyota and still claim this?

    • +10

They dont care. just get off a VIN off google and fill whenever and whatever car, Are you new here ?

      • But that's LYING!

        • -1

          Lol

      • +1

No need to google just go to carsales

    • You can, as long as you have a barcode. My hubby has a Toyota and I fuel up my Honda and they dont even look up :)

      • Guess it depends, last time I used it they looked out the window to see.

  • +3

FYI .. these offers are only available at Star Mart Caltex or the ones owned by Caltex and not at the Woolworths Caltex petrol stations

    • yep the location list is not accurate

  • Is my 2000 Toyota Bomb eligible? It wasn't previously. I think it's only good for models since ~2003?

    • Yeah last time it was vehicles in the last 10 years I think right?

    • +3

      1999 Hilux worked. YMMV.

Also, google any VIN, no-one actually checks when you fill up. You don't even need to be driving the car.

  • Do you just need the qr barcode to get the offer?

    • +3

Actually I didn't write "Toyota Owners" it was edited by a Mod. So don't blame me.
      Poor comment.

    • +1

Wait, what? I didn't know negging comments was exclusive to the OzBargain God tier!

Thanks to whoever bestowed me with these powers!

      • You're welcome.

      • You only need OzBargain silver membership to neg comments.

    • NOT 'Toyota Owners'… -> Only some Toyota Owners. It's not the same thing.
      Poor job OP.
Would NEG, but the Ozbargain God punishes us for honest opinion.

      Negs? Pfffh!

*Only one listed Caltex Servo within 20km. And it's ALWAYS expensive petrol.

  • I know this doesn't work on Woolworths Caltex. Does the 4c off Woolworths voucher work on all other Caltex petrol stations?
If yes, can I stack this with the Woolworths 4c voucher?

    • Usually not, but you could get lucky

    • +2

4c off only works on Woolies caltex, which these participating ones do not fall under.

    • I thought they had started accepting now. I've seen banners outside Caltex only branded stations. Also, https://www.caltex.com.au/woolworths. Or can you only EARN a 4c discount but not use it there? I've never actually tried. Can anyone confirm?

      • +1

You can get the 4c a litre at some stations I know a couple I manage give the 4c but all stations will give the points.

Just a FYI as per our instructions late last week we can do the Toyota discounts plus the Woolworths 4c at the same time now. So it’s actually 14c discount if you find the right station.

  • I just signed my Prado up and it says 4c/L discount.

  • Do something Honda!

  • Where is it a long weekend?

    • +1

10 Jun Mon Queen's Birthday National except QLD & WA

  • Anybody had any trouble filling up a Jerry can?

    • +1

Nope, just unscrew the cap, insert the nozzle and pull the trigger. My only advice would be to fill it a bit slower than you would your car.

      • Haha. Conditions say discount is only for filling one vehicle's tank.

  • +1

If you use Wish card for 5% off at Woollies servo and then add 4c/L to that, that would seem to be a bigger discount on current fuel prices (say $1.40/L = 7c + 4c = 11c) Am I missing something?

    • +1

You could just use all the discounts… at a Caltex. They accept the physical cards just not the e gift cards. So… 10c + 4c and pay with your gift cards that was 5% off. And use your Myer card aswell cause why not just add some points onto it too.

      • Physical wish cards?

        • Yes physical Woolworths wish cards can be used at Caltex. The e-gift versions cannot be used as Caltex does not have access to the Woolworths systems ( they don’t have access to ours either)

          • @Kiato: Where to get physical gift cards discounted, that don't have a postage charge that negates any savings please?

            • @Spending2Much: I dunno where you can get them, really seems like a you issue. I can get mine from sunsuper. But I get my own discounts so I don’t need to look around.

              • @Kiato: I have Suncorp, but can't see how to get physical cards. They are all E cards. Thanks

                • @Spending2Much: Buy a e-gift card go into woolies and use it to buy a physical gift card? I don’t know I don’t work for Woolworths so I can’t tell you where to get their cards and what organisations have discounts on them. I’m a manager for Caltex so I know the ins n outs of our side of things.

  • All the Caltex closest to me are standard Caltex, not Woolies 4c ones.
You can now earn Woolies points, but they don't give any discount.
10c is a reasonable amount when filling the tank.

  • -3

Caltex fuel isn't good though I don't get as much mileage compare to BP or Shell 95 for the same

    • Did you do a triple blind study?

      • +1

I tried, but it turns out it's hard to drive blindfolded.

        • Some people don't seem to have a problem driving blind-drunk. However, I would not advise it.

  • I'd wager United which is also Australian-owned would still work out to be just as cheap.

  • I filled up my car fine yesterday with the discount. But when i went to fill up my mums car at a different place which is also participating, they insisted their scanner wasnt working with it. I think there is something dodgy going on, maybe some servos didnt want to support it.

  • -1

A little confused about the price. If the signboard price is 148.9, is it 138.9 or 148.8 after this discount?

  • +2

Despite knowing my car at the pump is a Toyota, the servo swiped my phone screen to check if the barcode was a screenshot. Excessive.

  • Tank was near empty, saved near $15… 159l tank comes in handy sometimes.

    • Which car has a tank that huge?!

      • -1

Guessing a second fuel tank (arb etc)

        Prado - 150L, LC200 - 140L, LC70 Troopy - 180L

  • Used this on my Mazda successfully. (I also have a Toyota)
Attendant wouldn't allow me to stack with a Woolies card.

Kicking myself for forgetting to get a StarCard at 5% off and Myer One card. (too many things to remember when pumping petrol!!)

    • How are you using Myer One card?

      • +1

        Myer points at Caltex.
