  • I checked my email box and found the announcement at around 9pm. Went to the website to try to book for a ticket, and the JetStar site is already dead.

    D'oh.

And it wasn't their first time either. Did they host their website on those $5/month shared hosting?

  • Just got in, and saw that you can only get ticket between 16 Oct and 12 Dec, which I don't have holidays. Anyway…

  • As per usual, JetStar site was down from before 8pm (so before people had even got the email!) until after 11pm, when the deal officially ended (though what fares were left stayed up until midnight Melbourne time). JetStar really are pathetic from my experience, and at all levels (booking, being on time, etc.). Avoid them if you can, though of course for $3 you'd want to give them another go… if you could actually book!! :)

    • Personally I prefer to fly Virgin, but sometimes you get short-notice for a personal trip, you just can't have too many choices :(
