      Dude if you knew how slight margins are in Australia (actually most places in the world) when it comes to electronics you'd never make the comment… Lol at 20% most the phones would be close to or below cost unless they jacked the prices to rrp..     When I search for a keyword I can only sort by descending price not ascending?

    Price sorting on category pages is ascending though

      Hi CVonC,

      Thanks for the feedback, we will look into our sorting options. You can temporarily add "&product_list_dir=asc" to the end of a search URL to sort search queries by ascending eg "?q=searchterm&product_list_order=price&product_list_dir=asc"

    Bit of a specialist question but the v30+ gets lots of praise for audio out and quad DAC, but can it compete with something like the AK A&Norma sr15 portable hifi player?

      I don’t think it’s fair to compare a phone with a dedicated player twice the price. However V30+ ( or any other LG phone with quad dac) won’t let you down.

        Yeah I know it's a bit of a stretch. Any experience with hi res players? Planning to blind test at A2A soon but won't be able to abx the lg.

      fwiw have compared the v30 predecessor the v20, which also features a similar quad DAC setup, with a Fiio X5 and a Sony NW-A55 walkman, both good DAPs… and playing the same lossless files (FLAC, WMV) on all 3 indicates the v20 is v.v.similar to those dedicated players in stereo soundstage, 'scale', hi-end clarity, and mid-range smoothness. But v.important that the v20 phone is in 'airplane mode', the cellphone part isn't on - not huge difference but on h'phones like Sony 7506 you can hear slight 'dullness' (if that makes sense)

            Edit - for those interested the link above specifies quad DAC for wired only, and v30 has some additional features beyond v20

            "Regarding the Quad DAC itself, the one on the V30 also offers some additional features over the one in the previous model, the V20. On the V30 you gain the ability to turn on what LG calls “Sound Presets” and “Digital Filters”. The “Sound Presets” work like a equalizer, and I can choose between “Normal”, “Enhanced”, “Detailed”, “Live” or “Bass”. “Normal” is the default. The Digital Filters adjust the impulse response of playback, giving you three options, “Short” which claims to provide a more spatial sound, “Sharp” which claims to produce a “natural” sound, and “Slow” which claims to produce a clearer sound. “Short” is the default. "
