  • Is this the keyboard with painted/stuck on symbols that wear off over time?
A shame if so, I want to replace my K800, but there's just no decent wireless backlit alternative.

Can you confirm your comment? From what I've read, no back light. Just want to know for sure, thanks

There's no backlight. And the keys are stickers that wear overtime. Typing from one right now!

No backlight on this, correct. But a backlight on the K800. That's what I'm looking to replace.

    • Same here, the closest is the K63 but i need the numpads too

      • Got the k63 with the lapboard, for the most part it's fine without the numpad. There are some moments where I definitely miss the numpad, but the lapboard is more suitable for my living situation.

        • Unfortunately I work with numbers so can’t live without the numpad

          • @dirtyhen: Can buy seperate number pads from various brands.

Ducky sells one that acts as a calculator when not connected as a numberpad.

Wireless back-lit would be battery hungry.

    • Well having two of these for about an year,
symbols seems to be painted on and covered with some lacquer (Or maybe good stickers)
heavily used at office (programmer life) and not seeing much wear at all.

      • Laser that means

Got mine for $90. Typing this comment on it now. Once you go mech + cordless, you can't go back.

    Well,

I have 2 of these keyboards, one for home one for office. (bought within a period of 3 months)

    1. One at home is flawless. quite love it (bought second)
    2. The office one started having a failing dongle problem (this seems to be a known issue)
[Logitech will replace this as the issue cannot be fixed with a unifying dongle]

    So

Register your device WITH the PURCHASE invoice in Logitech site so that if your device goes bad after an year where the retailer you bought it will say you need to take it up with Logitech

    To be honest,

Logitech support is quite friendly and helpful when you CALL them. Do not use the online portal for warranty claims.

Apart from that this is a very nice Wireless Mechanical keyboard for the money you pay. (worth every penny)

Had mine for about 9 months, from an EB Games deal last year. Used for coding, and gaming, really like it. Have a well used (and pretty worn) Das Keyboard at my office and I think prefer this, am tempted to get a second.

Hard to find a mechanical kB with dedicated media keys at this price.

Wireless is a bonus, still on its first set of batteries.
