    Alright, so anyone who redeemed too early and has regrets, you CAN cancel your Game Pass Ultimate, forfeiting whatever you currently have, then go back and stock up on Gold and Game Pass subscriptions, then resubscribe for $1 and get it converted.

    I forfeited 2 months of Ultimate to buy 25 months for ~$125AUD.

      Do you mind running through the steps on how you did that? I know there's a cancel option under My Account > Services And Subscription > Xbox Gamepass Ultimate…but wouldn't you forfeit your Gold subscription also?

        Yeah that's what I used.
        I only had Ultimate until August due to only having 1 month Gold and no game pass, so I opted to forfeit that so that I could get more Ultimate for cheap.

          Nice. Definately worth it in your case and would have done the same if I had only only converted a few months. Good to know that you can revert back after all (to standard Gold). Will now do the same when my current subscription ends - unless we get a similar deal to this (unlikely though).

      The best deal for this is grabbing 12 months Game Pass on eBay for around $60. They send 26 x 14-day codes. Takes a while to redeem but you get 1 year of Ultimate for $60.

      This is who I used. It got sent by message like 2 min after paying.

        I changed my address to some random one in Great Britain to avoid GST.

        E.g. 83 Upper St, London, N1 0NU

        I paid $56 AUD each year.

                  @Scribbles: The error that I had when the 1 mont extra game pass option from Microsoft appear (if setup ongoing game pass). Once turned off, it works without any issues.

        Just to follow up. I have finally converted over to the XGPU and I am now subscribed until 14/4/2022 :)

        When I check my Profile on the Xbox and via Xbox.com it still shows ⑭ so all good.

    I took up the insider offer a few weeks back, and my ultimate ends in February 2020 (I didn’t realise I could extend by buying more Gold). It still says that from Feb I’ll be charged $1.00 per month. Wondering if that’s likely to change or will those who managed the Insider Deal get to stay on that into the future?

      I'm in the same boat mate. Before I converted, I asked and look everywhere if we could add codes after we'd converted and the consensus was we could, but adding codes was broken at the time. I originally didn't have enough XP either, so had to scrape together enough so I could convert. I wish I didn't bother.

      If I'd have just waited, I'd be able to take up the offer with all the other non-insider plebs, who now have much more information about the conversion ratio for adding codes after the fact!

    Sorry, I'm kinda new to consoles and .. these pass things. I currently have "Xbox Game Pass" in my subscriptions, that I got for $1 a month back. My billing says: AU$32.85 every 3 months, next charge on 7/27/2019 with…

    So, I don't wanna be charged $32 on the 27th of July… So, if I got this deal, would that date go to the 27th of August? i.e. Adds another month?

    When I click it, I get the message: "Joining Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will upgrade your remaining Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass membership(s) into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for the same amount of time, up to a total of 36 months".

    Any advice would be great.

    Bought $110 worth of Game Pass (24 months) and converted 4 months of Gold + 2 months of Game Pass, as well as the $1 Ultimate giving a total of 31 months. Pretty pleased!

    Well that worked out well - heres what I did:
    got the 3 month game pass for $1 a month ago
    Was trying to level up with the insider program but never got there.
    Just added 1 x 14 day gamepass from the ebay link above - and got a bonus month for turning on recurring billing - did this to test the ebay seller.
    bought 2 x 1 year gamepass off same ebay - took about 1/2 hr to enter in all the codes.
    Had 7 months left on gold
    got the 1 month ultimate for $1
    So total cost (not including the gold I already had as I bought it ages ago) was about $116 to have ultimate for the next 3 years - pretty happy about that!

    No good deals going ATM. Bit the bullet and paid $77 for for 12 months, then did the $1 ultimate conversion. Had 6 months XBL already so 18 months of Xbox ultimate for $78 is still a win imo.

    Can someone fact-check me on this?

    I have an Xbox One but I am not currently subscribed to either XBL Gold or Gamepass. But I do have some spare XBL Gold code cards that I haven't gotten around to using yet because I don't play online as much as I used to.

    If I redeem these Gold cards now I can then pay $1 more and upgrade all that time to Gamepass Ultimate? (Up to 36 months?)

    In other words, can I take advantage of this or is it only for people who were already subscribed to XBL Gold before the offer commenced? Sorry if it's a stupid question but I'm a bit confused

    Nice! glad i hadn't changed over to ultimate yet.

    1. Extended through Microsoft site $80 xbox live 12 months (was expiring in a few days from the 3 month promo)
    2. Redeemed a 1 month game pass with Microsoft rewards (already expired)
    3. Purchased $1 1 month PC game pass
    4. Spent the $1 to change over to ultimate. Now up until November 2020! (4/11/2020)

    Got about 16-17 months for $82 (if you count 1 month redeemed game pass)

    *put an edit as i bought the xbox live through Microsoft, not 3rd party. Seemed to allow me to 'extend' as i hadn't changed anything over yet.

    For anybody that took up the offer prior to topping up their Live or Gamepass subscription…it seems that buying 12 months of standard Gamepass after activating this offer (like from the Ebay seller theguyrules posted above) should add at least 7.8 months of Gamepass Ultimate or more!

    I purchased it knowing that I would lose several months (based on the conversion rate). I also received individual 14 day Gamepass codes but when you redeem them on the Xbox site….you are notified that these convert to 9 days of Gamepass Ultimate! So what I figure I would be getting is….

    26 codes x 9 days at the converted rate = 234 days or approximately 7.8 months!

    I'm not sure if it's a glitch or I just got lucky but it seems to have added the full 12 months in my case! Worse case scenario and it doesn't work for you, should still get you at least 7+ months of Gamepass Ultimate from this method.

      Wicked I added 12 months Gold and then did the gamepass $1 changing to Ultimate AU$15.95 every month, next charge on 7/10/2020.

      So I can add another 12 months gold sub and it give me 7 months or so ultimate now that I'm changed over?

        No idea if you'll get the same amount with Gold subscription as I tried with a Gamepass one. The conversion rate is less according to the Microsoft site for 12 months but then the same for 1 month:

        1 month of Gold = 20 days of Ultimate
        1 month of Xbox Game Pass (Console Games) = 20 days of Ultimate

        12 months of Gold = 4 months of Ultimate
        12 months of Xbox Game Pass (Console Games) = 5 months of Ultimate

        I was redeeming 14 day codes so perhaps it defaults to the same amount (9 days) or a little under.

      For science I tried this, purchased a 12 months card from

      then added it to my recently upgraded Ultimate acccount.

      Before adding 12 month gold card my expiry date on Ultimate was 19/6/2021, I added the 12 month code, as I was doing so it did warn me that it was being converted to 4 months of ultimate, I ignored it and powered on..unfortunately, it was correct, my new expiry date is 18/10/2021.

      So I only got 4 months of ultimate for AUD74, a terrible deal.

      BE WARNED. MAKE SURE YOU UPGRADE GOLD BEFORE UPGRADING TO ULTIMATE WITH THIS DEAL.

        No science about it, it had been well documented and discussed throughout this deal that you should redeem any codes you have #BEFORE you upgrade to Ultimate. MS also list the conversion rates on the Game Pass page:

I've got some Brazilian Real that I can use to buy a 3-month top-up, but if I switch to the Brazilian store I don't want to be accidentally creating another Gold account I can't use here in Australia.
