      Gamepass PC hasn't actually been launched officially yet. 6am AEST tomorrow is Microsoft's E3 Press Conference where it's going to be unveiled in full.

      Gamepass PC, Gamepass Xbox, and Xbox Live Gold are all being bundled into a single subscription called "Gamepass Ultimate" which will have the same per-month cost as Xbox Live Gold + Xbox Gamepass. You will still be able to buy separately as well. I suspect GP Ultimate probably won't be available in cheaper bulk codes, but maybe they'll pleasantly surprise us.

      I can understand why they're separate subs, since they have to negotiate different deals and the libraries don't overlap entirely. But yeah it would have been awesome if it was all-in-one for the initial price. If you're a PC-only gamer, then this has a cheaper per month cost ($5/month instead of $12/month) so that's reasonably attractive as long as they add a steady stream of new stuff.

        It doesn’t say anywhere on that page that this is a beta. I know that they are adding more games all the time, but they can’t just say ‘over 100 games’ when they barely have 20. It’s false advertising

          I’m sure there’s a small subset who enjoy them, so they’re there for them.

          But I question their sanity. If you need constant reinforcement that you’re “achieving” things, then you’ve got issues.

            @[Deactivated]: It’s literally a key marketing component to games. Almost everyone has it except Nintendo and epic games. UPlay and Xbox go a step further and has weekly challenges that get you reward points to trade in for discounts etc.

    so I'm subscribed but when i try to install Sea of Thieves, it says no device found add a device first (even though i'm logged in on my gaming PC). So I try adding my PC as a device, but it keeps erroring out. Looked into it for another 20 mins, no luck. and no help to be found anywhere

    This thing doesn't feel ready at all

      the proper app for windows isn't out yet, so i feel like this is a very soft launch. some games you can download, others you can't yet. For example, i'm downloading Operencia right now.

      I'm assuming the app will get released today with microsofts e3

          I'll stick with the Windows Store for now. The Xbox App is rather buggy for me. It asks me to restart the app when browsing the games. I can select and install a featured game. The search feature returns no results.

    Terrible app. All games are buggy and are unplayable or don't install. I normally install games on my D drive, however to install on D it wants all apps to install on there and to delete anything already installed on D.

    I want my time and my dollar back.

      I have uninstalled the app, cancelled the subscription and requested a refund.

      Hopefully Microsoft will do better with their xCloud gaming service.

    I had Gears of War 4 from their Microsoft Store. It's a total nightmare, 60GB after 60GB, and then if your connection lost or the app was closed, you have to start all over again. If there is an update, you will need to download the whole game again. Don't know why they can't learn from Steam. I will not buy anything from their store before they fix their broken distribution mechanism

      From what I understand this is a totally new launcher built from the ground up for games. That's the problem with the microsoft store, it was never built for games. It's really for windows apps etc etc. They should've created a client like this years ago.

      Hopefully this should be much better.

    Not a bad deal if you already have a gold/xbox game pass…. but the $15 a month for the pc game pass after the beta finishes is a bit rich. Lets hope the beta runs a long time and only have to pay $5 a month

    Does that mean that we get access to the game since we have access to gamepass?
    Or does that mean that we get to own the game?

      Because the $5 amount is for beta only. So I'm guessing you can only sub one month at a time.

      Once beta is over the normal price is $10.95

      You have access to the games as long as you are subscribed.

      Keep in mind games will come and go. BUT, games that are from Microsoft's studios (Forza, Gears, Halo, Crackdown, etc) won't be removed.
