If you're going during March/April, make sure you stopover in Korea to see the cherry blossoms.

More info here on the cherry blossoms festival. Personally, I think the best blossoms are in Gyeongju.

    • Good advice thanks

  • Is it allowed to go out of the Incheon airport during the stop over?

Yes, "it" likes it when it gets out of the airport :)

Yes, they float when you leave the airport. We all float down here.

  • Similar prices to Paris

Not a crisis yet but be aware this airline is in trouble.

    • I'll put in a bit of a correction, Kumho Asiana Group is in a bit of trouble (the parent company), as it went on a buying spree in the early 2000s and is now suffering from the debt load.

The airline itself does not appear to have any issues and is a bit of a crown jewel for the parent company. The airline still appears to be profitable, so should survive any corporate issues (So should be mostly safe to book tickets).

    • lol idiot

Obviously nobody is in on this joke.

      Google it.

We all know the incident but we thought it was in bad taste at the time of the accident and ever since.

  • This price is offered by Travelgenio.. I thought it was from the Asiana website. Personally way too skeptical about these online travel agencies (especially with their marvelous reviews) and would rather pay the extra 100 and buy from the official site. Anyone else tried these other agencies before?

    • Yes I have.

    • I've used them, be sure you want to travel on the dates as the change fees will equate to another flight cost. Pay with a travel insurance cc. Do Asiana still have the free overnight hotel like they used to on the Syd>Eur trips?

    • I've used OTA's before and never had problems, but everyone is different. You may wish to pay the extra $100 for your peace of mind.

If you do use one, keep in mind that any changes you want to make will cost a fortune. Pay with credit card so that you can do a chargeback if there are any issues, and make sure to login to the airline's website once you have your booking reference to put your contact details in the airline's system so that they can notify you directly of any changes.

  • Have flown with Asiana. Great experience!
