Looks like a good price on the Bosch Hammer Impact Drill UniversalImpact 800 (800W, in Case).

German-Engineered, Hungarian-made.

All the way down from $109.59 to $54.90 delivered (don't have to be an Amazon Prime member).

Cheapest on eBay is $83.89, but can't find much of it elsewhere.

Competition at Bunnings at this price level is fairly limited. Note the Bosch Green is the DIY line, while the Bosch Blue is the tradie/professional line.

No idea when it ends - check out the other Bosch gear on sale as well.

EDIT: Just note this comment.

800 watt, in case of what? In case of emergency?

I had the older model of this. Wasn't very impressed.
The chuck lock system failed many times (just spinning, not actually locking) and became imbalanced after time.
It might have been improved over the years though.

*Edit …I have the 700watt older version

    • Posted only as it looked ok compared to what else is out there.

      • Ah sorry mate …. wasn't rubbishing the post, just the item

Oh your comment is fine, i was just indicating i didn't know much more than i've said in the post.

  • It's showing $110 for me now, am I doing something wrong?

    • Looks like the price has gone up.

  • price has gone up - deal should be updated or marked as expired.

    • Well that was short-lived…

    • Still at $54.90

  • got one thanks op. but what's it for actually? make holes on wall only?

      Can't tell if you're joking or not…

Well it's a hammer drill - there's a 'hammer' function to bang away while you're trying to drill into concrete or something.

If you're just drilling into wood you disable that and it's just a normal drill with a mildly impressive brand name.

      • I'm not joking. I have never used it before but it looks cool and it looks like a great deal. so I can't just let it go away. :-) thank you for the explanation which saves my life.

  • Back in stock it seems…

  • Bought one. Thanks!

  • Not the same one as Bunnings on the link above, this one is for DYI purpose (Bosch green), the Bosch blue one is for trade purpose. Difference in quality

    • Yep, was going to comment, the same. Bosch Blue is a step up and much higher quality.
But OP is also right, for around the $60 mark, you've got Ozito and Ryobi as competition….

      • Yeah i didn't mean to suggest there was any equivalence between them, and had figured the blue was better. It's just the only other Bosch-branded one i found at the time, though i now know there's others around. I might delete that in the post - mind you the post died pretty quickly once they ran out initially. Would normally have hit 20+ i reckon.

  • The only way to really hole concrete is with SDS!

wait 4 the ozito to be half price again so you can go from a greenie to a communist…
