  • I want to track their location not steps……

Cheap phone, cheap phone plan. Share location on Google Maps.

If you don't want them to actually use the phone, lock it, share location on Google Maps, and tell them to keep it with them at all times. If they're old enough to use the phone, make it their device. You don't need to tell them to keep it on them… that phone will become part of their soul.

  • Fitbit Ace 2 is about to launch, that's why the drop in price. The new version should be around $129.

    • Not knocking the Fitbits, but the Mi Bands are pretty damn good for their price. I've got the Mi Band 3 (without checking when the next version was coming out. Doi!) and it's got everything I need. Steps counter, heart rate monitor, timer, stopwatch, vibrates for phone calls, read messages, alarm clock, most importantly… a find my phone feature.

And it syncs with Google Fit… which syncs with Pokemon Go… which is the main reason why I bought it.
