  • Thanks OP, grabbed two food jars in red and smoke colours

  • is the 500ml food jar big enough for lunch? or its like a kids version lunch?

    • +1

To me the 500ml is more like kids size - really need something like 800ml to hold more food. 500ml can hold about 200-250g of cooked food roughly 1 bowl of rice. Not much space for other toppings unless you compress things down. Would need a few food jars to eat enough - I use 3 food jars - 1 for rice,1 for meat and 1 for veggies.

For something similar I use these @ $9.99 each from Ikea

You need the ones from asia that screw into each other with separate compartments.

That is too complicated for kids. We use these jars for sui gao (soup dumplings), soup with pasta, noodles soup, mini steamed buns, braised pork or any saucy type dish. We put rice in a separate tupperware container so they can use the lid as bowl to eat. The rice doesn’t have to be hot as long as the food put on top of rice is warm. They still have to bring fruit, snacks etc

  • Missed out. Whats the differences between all the jars? Cant spot any technical difference, can anybody with experience share their personal opinions?
