Great price, still getting hours out of this game nearly 10 years later - play through once or twice a year.
On PC or console? I find the game is so much better when you can mod it as you like.
I had a good enough PC when it came out but that one died, so converted to console as I couldn't justify replacing it. So I have probably played through 2 or 3 times on PC, once with a few mods, then another heap on console, more recently with Special Edition with the limited selection of mods available. I agree the additional content on PC is bigger and better, but I make do.
Modding is a very laborious procedure unfortunately. There aren't any big compilations like there are for the Stalker games. The Nexus community is very egoistic rather than collaborationist thus making compilations impossible except on rogue sites.
You really have to be willing to deal with Mod Organizer 2 if you want to do serious modding. It compartmentalizes mods into separate folers and at runtime virtualizes them (projecting them all into the Skyrim data folder so the game engine can see them).
People new to modding should begin with the various Step guides, then add extra mods depending upon their particular temperament:
