PLOUGH

Good morning again Ozbargainers! We've managed to get our hands on a few pallets of the ATA GDO6v3 at a lower price than normal (because we also love deals ourselves). The rate they have been going, however, means I might not have some available next sale. As always, if you have any questions about this deal or your specific home requirements that aren't necessarily related to the deal, feel free to ask away in the comments!

As always, all orders placed before 2pm are sent the same day. We also ship all garage motors with a tracked courier as standard.

Some specs on the unit:
Suits doors up to 16.5m²
Max peak pulling force: 600N
Minimum side room: 45mm
Garage Illumination: Festoon Globe Lighting
5 Year Warranty

  • Quick top comment hijack, the manufacturer has released installation video for the opener. You can check that out here.

  • Love this thing, it's still going strong!

Off topic question regarding swing gate openers: I've come across this on your eBay site.

I've got two 3-ish metre gates set in steel posts which are concreted in. How would you suggest I run power to these motors? I'm trying to avoid cutting into the concrete running and it through a trench. Is there another solution, like some super heavy duty conduit? Bearing in mind cars will be driving over this and it will be outdoors.

    Cheers!

    • Hey mate,

The best thing I can think of would be using a length of U track that is normally used for sliding gates to run along. There's a decent channel underneath that you can use to run cord if you're 100% opposed to digging.

There is also a solar option as well, which you can see here. The battery on these kits pretty powerful and can hold a couple of days charge at a time.

One quick thing of note is that you've linked the drive unit only, which won't have a control board to make it work. You'll need this listing here for that.

      • Great idea on the U track. I'll keep it all in mind. Thanks for clarifying the need for a control board.

One more thing - will the remote on the OP deal work with the control board deal from the deal you listed?

        • +1

Certainly will. You're looking at the PTX5v2 remote control, which operates both openers. The remote has four buttons, so if you have multiple garage doors you should be able to get them all on the one remote control.

  • Those went quick, can you give us a deal on another unit :)

    • Super quick - Haven't seen 3 pallets of motors move that fast before… O.o

The next best thing would be this guy here. It'll do the same power as the GDO6v3 at a similar price range ($239.20ea). I've posted this one before - It's a pretty solid unit.

Spent yesterday trying to get my hands on more of these units at the same price for this sale, we, unfortunately, might not be able to (as it ends midnight tonight).

      • Came back in stock pretty quick after PLOUGH expired.

        • Shouldn't have, I have none left.

One of my team has accidentally left up a dual pack of the units that I've just found after reading your comment (listing 291163176298 for transparency), but apart from that, we should have 0's across the board?
