  Can anyone confirm if this has been price jacked before the 20% discount? $411 doesn't seem like much of a bargain.

      Thank you, I suppose $411 isn't too bad for a red. In my mind i'm comparing this to the 10TB WD external deals that have been floating around - Not an exact comparison but the externals still use white labelled reds.

  I know it's a different drive, but still, I don't feel they are worth nearly twice the price.

    Yeah if you're not using for a NAS, that works. Reds are built to be left on/running 24/7.
