At least if soniq goes south you'll have an easier time dealing with JB.

The Chromecast functions wont be updated and I have read numerous issues on whirlpool and other forums about intermittent issues.

You get worse than what you pay for 😋

  • 100% avoid this thing, cousin has the 65" version, the motion blur and the blacks are so nasty, its like a purple grey looking at dark scenes at night… shithouse.. spend a bit more, get a TCL/Hisense

    • I also have the 65" version and out of the box the blacks were really bad. Once adjusted with Digital Video Essentials I am quite surprised by the quality for the price. The contrast and brightness were both way too high prior to adjustment.

  • I have the UX16A 65". Free to air and external sources below 4k looks bad on it, but 4k inputs and built in apps that run @4k look surprisingly good, especially for a $599 TV. I bought mine primarily to use with a htpc , so the sub par FTV and low res inputs don't bother me as I'm running my PC @4k. Can't notice any motion blur at 4k 60hz either. Don't know anything about the 75 model with Chromecast, but chances are it'll have similar quality and characteristics, i.e: good 4k but everything else below average.

  • A gigantic TV for under $1000!

I got the 65" from Amazon a few weeks ago. Came with a small 1cm dead pixel near the middle of the screen. Other then that everything works fine. FTA channels sucks with their 560p resolution. Even with a $5000 it will still look shit.
Xbone one, PS4 Pro and Amazon Prime 4K movies, 4K YouTube looks great on it. You need to make sure you choose the 4K resolution on your phone first before casting it.
