    do samsung pay work for this phone in australia?

    • Yes it does straight out of box

      • for both version N960FD and N9600?
        Is it possible to flash TEL firmware N960F for the N960FD?

        • Mine was N960FD

          Yes you can flash TEL firmware N960F for the N960FD

          • @OzSikh: thanks mate.

            It is easier to flash the whole TEL firmware N960F for the N960FD instead of changing CSC.
            Did you flash any Aus firmware on your N960FD? Is the dual sim feature still work?

            • @tonnypham: I did this on our S9 plus and dual sim functionality still works. For Note 9, as mentioned earlier didn't need to flash, as Samsung pay worked out of the box

  • This is a tidy price. If Samsung Pay works, the Exynos could be a ripper deal.

    • Samsung pay does work I bought one from last deal

  • Killer deal!!

    I am using a grey import exynos version and I had to update CSC and firmware to Thai region to make Samsung Pay work. Now everything works perfectly fine without any issues.

    • why not upgrade to aus firmware? so ur samsung pay works along with VOLTE

      • Changing firmware does not make any difference as now Samsung checks for CSC as well to enable region related features. On Thai firmware I have VOLTE as well

        • nice, any link of 'how to guide' for my feature ref, thx

            • @randomrandom: can't see any N960FD firmware? seem like the model does not exist.
              I wonder we can use N960F firmware for the N960FD dual sim model?

              • @tonnypham: Yes you can

                I wonder we can use N960F firmware for the N960FD dual sim model?

                • @randomrandom: Thanks…
                  Is there any specific reason to flash Thailand version?
                  Do they update firmware faster?
                  Do Telstra directory feature work on thai firmware?

                  • @tonnypham: Samsung Pay, VOLTE was not working on my grey imported phone after flashing thai firmware and changing CSC to thai region everything works fine. Software update are same as other regions and not sure about Telstra directory as i am not with Tesltra

                    • @randomrandom: Does this break NOX? (Or whatever that hardware thing is that detects jailbreaking)

                      • @IJustKnowStuff: No Knox counter is still zero and it's not rooting or jailbreaking. Knox counter is tripped when you flash custom packages and firmwares.

                  @randomrandom: Build number N960FXXU3CSF9 just got released a day ago. It can be downloaded from SamFirm using DBT CSC and installed on any CSC.

                  Reports so far are:
                  1) Night Mode;
                  2) QR code toggle;
                  3) Charging animations for wired and wireless has changed;
                  4) Enhanced charging text on AOD;
                  5) Blur intensity on front camera;
                  6) Faster app opening and system responsiveness overall;
                  7) They removed the toggle in lockscreen settings to remove unlock animation (it was called transition animation or something like that);
                  8) Improved battery life.

                  • @prodnus: great, thanks for the info. downloading it

                  • @prodnus: have you install N960FXXU3CSF9?
                    Did everything work after flash dbt like samsung pay volte wifi call?

                    • @tonnypham: Yes because it didn't change my CSC from THL. You must remove your sim before flashing, otherwise it will change to the CSC of your active sim inserted (XSA for Australia)

      • I bought one from last deal from the same seller, Samsung pay and volte worked straight out of the box

      I bought one from last deal and can confirm that I was sent a GST Tax Invoice with it in the package

      • Does the invoice show that GST was charged? Thanks

        • +1

          Yes it does

  • Is the snapdragon version worth the extra 100-odd bucks?

  • +1

    Can buy from TGG ebay for $880, is AU stock worth an extra $160? Can't decide..

    • 2 year local warranty is tempting and u can claim GST if u travel. Now my thumb is flicking the screen :(

    Bought this last sale. Highly recommended. Came on a sealed box. Changed CSC to Thailand so call recording works along with Samsung Pay, VoLTE and VoWiFi.

    • Awesome, now i need to do research in doing these

    • Which one exynos or snapdragon?

      • N960FD - exynos
        N9600 - snapdragon (the pricey one)

        • I meant which one did @prodnus buy?

          • +1

            @starbearer: I went with Exynos due to its ability to change CSC easily and far more software development support on XDA (due to its unlocked bootloader and as the Snapdragon was primarily only a US model).

            The Exynos CPU is faster than the Snapdragon but the Mali GPU is not as fast as the Adreno. Since I rarely play mobile games it was an easy decision for me but if you are a heavy gamer you may prefer the N9600 over the N960FD model.

            Hope that helps.

  • any ebay 5% or 10% giftcard?
    really want to pull the trigger… lol
