  Just tried to book.

  Extras kill it. If you want to pick your seats (travelling with another person), it's $200 extra PER PERSON.
  And that's just the international leg. They also charge to pick your seat on the domestic leg.

  Yeah, no thanks. I get that its extra for luggage or meal choices etc… but $100 one way per person just to confirm your seat number? No way.

    Every time I've flown with Qantas I've just let them pick my seats for me. If I've bought more than one ticket a time they've always been together on the flight.

      But to get this price you aren't booking with Qantas. It's a separate booking company completely.

    If you're a Qantas Silver FF and above, you will be able to pick your own seat for free of charge. You'll also get 42 kg on International.
