      If you're buying VA/100hz, grab something like the kogan monitor. Same quality of stand (mediocre), but will have freesync.
      If you can't get the kogan (because they won't use Aus post…), That viewsonic deal from a few days should still be around. Seems like a permanent price (available at pccg for $500 flat for example)

        True, the viewsonic is appealing! Especially at that price. I liked the idea of usb c though (in the Samsung) but perhaps the price differential is too great.

    almost pulled the plug on this one until I realised my laptop wouldn't be able to push out the required power for this, not until I build a pc in a 2-3 months, do you think this will get cheaper or get this price again in the next 2-3 months?

      hard to say. if it stays the same and they have another 20% off sale, it'd bring it to $863 which would be insane. doubtful, though one can dream :p
