  I think this game is US$30 on the US eshop this week (it was a couple of days ago I think) which is a similar price and good if you want digital.

  Note Crash Team Racing came out today and is $48. Don’t actually know which ones the better game but if you’re looking for a kart racer then there’s certainly options right now. Wouldn’t surprise me if the Crash release was the reason for the Sonic price drop.

    CTR seems very good from the few hours I've played (never played the original) but the game is quite difficult. This Sonic game is good but seemed like a bit of a downgrade from the previous All-star versions in the series.

      I pre-ordered CTR from Amazon and received it on release day. Great fun, held a games night and had 4 player split screen going. If you liked CTR on PS1, then of course you'll like the remake/remaster.
