  Thanks OP. Very tempting! I could sell the unboxed B&D stuff I have left from that combo deal and put it towards these. I noticed you put the grinder in the same line as the Circular saw, btw (just noticed that's how Bunnings has it - no biggie).

  Can anyone tell me which of the two combo deals is better value? Would appreciate advice from a pro or someone knowledgeable. One item is the same (the impact driver), but the rest are different (higher numbers in their item codes), and ofc, the batteries are more powerful. Do the higher numbers mean that they are the latest models? Is that significant? I do like the cases and I wish there was a battery offered via redemption in the second deal instead. Oh… and I do see the 54V distinction but is it much different in terms of performance?

    What are you going to be using the kit for? These are price matched because Dewalt has its roadshow sale on now.
    The 54v tools will be much better especially the angle grinder and reciprocating saw but they might not be used much?

    Sydneytools has the specs listed same price as above but i think you get $100 store credit also.

    Second deal was on Sydneytools but its a broken link now. I think deal 2 with the full size saw and hard cases are a better buy but it might be overkill for your needs.

      For something of this calibre, home maintenance and renovations (mainly), car maintenance, gardening… I'd say I'd be using the reciprocating saw more than the grinder but it would be good to have the grinder nevertheless. Yes, I think I'd prefer the second combo if it's better quality and has better performance. Thank you!

  I'm a chippy and a lot of the boys are changing brands to the Dewalt 54v range. The $1000 kit includes the 54v grinder, circular saw and recipro. I haven't used the recipro yet but the angle grinder and circular saw are class leading. I rate them very highly and seriously considering making the change from Makita myself. While the 18v drill and driver are good, there are better alternatives on the market, but at this price point it's hard to beat.

  Good deals, but I think they should really start advertising batteries as kWh, not Ah.
  The 54V volt range has the battery capacity rated at 18V, so actually three times their real capacity.

  For DCZ596T2T-XE, Price has gone back to $1599.
  I was not expecting Bunnings to change the price before 30 June.
  Also saw that Sydneytools's link is working and is the same price as Bunnings. Maybe they waited for the Bunnings price to come back up.
