    • That looks nice. It’s currently at $349. Is that a good price?

      • Yep very good price. Last night was over 400

  • Anything for the gold turtle or SRPD line (these have never been on sale)?

  • SRPB51K Black Samurai? If not I'll grab a Blue Samurai or PADI.

    • Not enough stock on hand of the Black Samurai for a special. Plenty of the Blue & PADI.

      • That's a shame, was also interested in the Black Samurai :-(

  • +2

    SRPB41J Cocktail looks really awesome

  • Not long now :)

  • +1

    Prices live!

    *for the Citizen AW1490-84E anyway

    • Nothing up for me yet

      • Looks like the Citizen specials are live.

Most likely going through the list alphabetically.

  • Prices Live for the Seiko SRPB99K PADI Samurai

  • We are live peeps! SRPC23K PURCHASED!

  • That Citizen AW1490-84E Titanium watch looks good. I'm considering buying it, yet hah I hardly wear another Citizen watch I own.

    • Not a fan of the look but it's a solid price for the features.
Sold out in 10 minutes anyway :(

      • Just as well, I wasn't in a rush to buy it.

  • Does the Citizen range have a Coke version?

    • +1

Just bought one, was tossing up between that and the SRPB99K PADI!

  • +1

Wow I bought a SRPB41J and had no plans to prior to yesterday. (profanity).

    • so thats the sale price $429? was looking at it too.

      • Is that the final discounted price? Was hoping bit more lower :(

        • yeh me too..

        • it seems that way. I think it was $449 yesterday. Still when I searched online I couldn't find the Blue Moon for anything like that price, ever, so I pulled the trigger.

  • Can anyone here comment on how a Turtle wears on a smallish wrist, say, compared to a Samurai? Bigger?

    • +1

From what I've read the Turtle wears bigger than the Sami.
Not only is the case physically bigger (45mm Turtle vs 43.8mm Sami), but the Sami's lugs are angled very steeply downward (into the wrist), causing the whole thing to wear even smaller.
Good luck deciding, I'm torn between the two as well.
Someone buy them all please and save me the headache.

      • I have a blue sami. It's big. has a big bold dial and certainly has presence. It's a nice, classy looking watch. I don't think I'd go any bigger though.

    • I've had the Sami and found it wore bigger than my turtle. The turtle seems to sink into my wrist better. I Have since sold the Sami and will have 2 turtles.

  • +2

Bought the blue cocktail. Great price for the padi turtle so l bought it too.

  • I can't decide between Seiko Prospex Automatic SRPB99K PADI Mens Divers or Seiko Prospex Blue Turtle SRP773K.

  • Have Starbuy got a physical store when your can try on watches? Wanted to try on the SRPC23K Grey Turtle.

  • +6

Watch has already arrived and I couldn't be happier. Postage from starbuy is blazing fast

    • I'm still waiting on my shipping email!! You're lucky you managed to get yours so fast, hope you enjoy it!!

  • Ho op, thanks for the great post …is there a chance they will bring back the seiko ssc701p deal back or something better for the chronographs (STO line)?

    • Depends on stock levels. The 2018 series is no longer in production, so it's unlikely to go on fire sale the more collectible it becomes.

      Never say never, though.

  • +1

My watch was delivered already! Keen to try it on. Thanks OP :)

  • +2

Sighs, finally gave in and ordered an SRPC91K, spent days tossing between that and the SRPD11K1.
    I need more wrists.

  • Hi OP I accidently forgot about this sale and missed out on the Citizen AW1490-84E Titanium Eco-Drive. Can I please back-order? Happy to wait however long it takes to get stock in

  • +1

Hi guys, I'm kinda new to collecting watches and I was thinking of buying the cocktail time. What do you guys think? Is it worth the money?

    • +2

Only you can decide if it's value for money. If you are just starting out, are you looking to add a dress watch to your collection? It's certainly a looker with a solid and reliable automatic movement.

  • Got myself a Seiko Prospex Automatic SRPB99K (:

Anyone know if I can replace the band? If so, what is its width in mm, when wearing casually, looking to rock it like the SRPB53K with the silicone strap. TIA.

    • 22mm my man. Drilled lugs make it really easy to change out the bracelet. Make sure you order yourself a watch strap tool.

      • Tyvm :) that's the plan!

  • +2

excellent service got the delivery in 24 hours.

  • What is the difference between the Samurais and the Samurai-like watches that aren't called Samurai?

    Ie,

    https://www.starbuy.com.au/seiko-prospex-automatic-stainless…

    vs

    https://www.starbuy.com.au/seiko-prospex-automatic-steel-div…
    https://www.starbuy.com.au/seiko-prospex-automatic-padi-spec…

    ?

Are there differences in specs? I can't seem to see a difference.

    • +2

AFAIK Samurai refers to the case shape so they're all Samurais and have the same movement/specs but different colour/dial/band combination.

      • zonra is spot on. Simply aesthetic differences in the same series.

PADI editions have a red minute hand and markers around the dial and often a blue lume on the handset. This is complimented by the Pepsi bezel in red and blue with a patterned wave or blue dial.

All use the same case materials and shape, a bracelet or strap with the 4R35 auto movement.

  • Dam would of bought the Citizen AW1240-57L over the Citizen AW1490-84E. Can't justifying buying both.

I just cant stop wearing my Seiko 5 SNZG15J1

  • +2

I bought the Citizen GMT BJ7100-82E for $349. It has the knurled crown and aerofoil endmill style bracelet of the citizen nighthawk. Virtually identical to the Citizen Porter GMT 100th anniversary limited edition that was selling for USD823 yesterday before it sold out.
    Much better pics here: http://www.horologycrazy.com/2019/06/porter-and-citizen-gmt-…

    • Great choice. Would love to see a wrist shot when you get hold of it!

  • Prices still live?

Thinking of adding a chrono to my collection.
