    I would 100% pay the extra for the model with a 1080p IPS screen, 1366*768 belongs in 2005.

    I was going to buy a refurbished unit, but its condition was "good", which according to the description means it's basically falling apart and ready for the bin.
    Any idea what they generally actually look like?
    Below is the description:

    "THIS PRODUCT HAS BEEN GRADED AS GOOD CONDITION

    I bought a 'good' product and it was fine. Keyboard and screen weren't well worn and the outside just had normal scratches. I was worried about the description also. I guess like any second hand product it could vary a lot?

        Probably don't need an i5 as it is only 0.1gHz faster and i5's have turbo boost. The upgrade would be negligible.

    Thanks OP, just ordered a Pro 440 G5 4LR16PA.
    Handy backup unit for home and travel and one to leave in the drawer at work especially with the FHD screen for Ozbargain time.

      These specs are plenty powerful enough for grade 5 able to run usual school programs for the next 3-4 years well into high school

      if it's looked after. Usually kids want powerful laptops for gaming unless their into niche video editing or music production.
