i must be a big noob, but i did some homework and still don't know why need chromecast if i already had a smart tv that has built-in YouTube, Netflix and etc?

You don’t if you have all the apps on the tv you want.
I tend to find controlling videos on my phone easier than whatever interface the TV has. Especially if you are watching short videos, nice to browse on your phone while the TV is rolling on full screen. It's also quicker to roll through apps eg go straight from Spotify to Youtube quickly.
What's the difference with this and 8m sure i have firsr edition which i not really used i got a few at the time,after getting some cheap google mini speakers i believe i can hook this up to tv and use google mini with it?
One of my tvs is not a smart tv,but my other tv is so no need for that one right?
And my other tv in bedroom i have an android box to set up in that.
I do also have older generation apple tv on some of the tvs.
Im just curious what i can do with the chromecast and Google mini.The chromecast 2 and chromecast audio are the same price?? ($58 before discount) I'd have expected the audio version to be cheaper…
this or android box?
