Man couldn't pull the trigger on these. Just not my style.

Have a set of these from an older Clarks deal
At this price it's a good deal, assuming you don't mind the style
    (Work well with jeans imo)

What a deal, these are great shoes, never seen them this cheap

Well I look at desert boots I get PTSD flash backs to 70s fashion choices. I still shudder thinking about it.

I’m of the opinion that bell bottoms are better than the ankle pants that hipsters are gracing offices with though….(I’m looking at you Uniqlo).

    Such a great boot.

  • Somehow I can't bring myself to buy these, I already have my 70s rug shoes from the last deal

    • What is the sale price you paid for a pair of size 15 shoes from the past?

      • +1

Well no mean I can get a pair for 30 if I want, but they are pretty dodgy, I think best deal was when Aus dollar to us dollar was good, got like 6 pairs of assorted sneakers / casual shoes for about 300 delivered from US from oddball.com

That was to pairs of Nike air force one's. One white with blue, one grey suede with white tick, a pair of vans, a pair of converse, and a pair of globe skate shoes.

My mates purchase was a pair of RM Williams, but just at the usual retail. As I wanted a pair, and had a gift card towards them.

Great brand and great price! I'm a Clarks lover having about 10 pairs in my shoe shelf.

Bought this when it was here last time on special but it's so uncomfortable to wear that I haven't worn them since day 1 :P

  • No click and collect option available for these. Otherwise i would have purchased to try on. Great boot though.

Great for those who cannot afford the RMs deal.

  • I used to wear Clarks desert boots and a lumber jacket to school back in the day but these boots are not ringing a bell - they are too low cut.

  • 4500 click and many sizes with only one pair left. not sure stock available is being reflected on the site.

  • "405 not allowed". Damn. I bought a pair from another retailer a while back, and the sole split in two like two pieces of bread separating. Beware!

  • -5

I managed to grab a pair. To collect from Westfield Burwood but now I realised that the shoes really look uncomfortable to wear. Any advice?

    • +3

I had a pair (one size too big I realised), and they were actually some of the most comfortable shoes I owned. The crepe sole is amazing.

    • +2

They are actually very very comfortable. The sole and the leather is extremely soft.

      • +2

Depends on how flat your feet are. Mine cause sore feet for a while then got used to them, comfort is subjective.

    • How did you manage to select click and collect? Not an option for me. I was hoping either Burwood or Broadway.

cursing myself out for missing out in this. i literally wrecked a pair over the weekend at a festival. promised myself new pairs. $29.99 is dirt cheap, never seen it this low. i do have 2 unused suede pairs in cola and tan, but the beeswax are the most hardy and versatile imo, and they rarely ever go on sale.

anyway i can't stop waxing lyrical about clarks dbs. I own 7 pairs, and i still stock up when they go on sale. they've been on impromptu hikes, countless holidays where i would walk at least 10kms+ a day, and they still feel and look the goods. They look great after you've worn em in, apply some mink oil and they're pretty much rejuvenated (for the non-suede uppers), beautifully creased by your journey. Pairs well with slim/skinny denim jeans, but are generally quite versatile if you wear earthy tones. I honest to God think they are the best boot ever made and most certainly is Clarks' gift to the world.

  • If anyone has a UK size 7 in sydney that doesn't fit I'll make a good offer.

  • Had Ngix error adding to cart. Site got hammered

  • I hate seeing shoes this price for 2 reasons.
    1) Cost factor - I always want to purchase the deal because of the price point.
    2) ROI - I bet they're still making a profit or breaking even at a minimum. I will always think of this price/deal when I try and purchase shoes in the future.

    • I think it’s entirely possible they are making a loss at that price. Larger businesses don’t always aim to make profit on a single item or product range. There are always some popular footwear ranges that sell better and at full price that mitigate losses made from the rest of the business. Ignore the granularity and look big picture.

In this case, I believe hype dc maybe clearing stock from their inventory (higher priced items that have plenty of quantity left) in order to ramp up the aggregated sales targets/revenue before they hard close their books for FY18/19.

In fact this probably applies to most businesses and explains the existence and need for EOFY sales.
