lol nvme cheaper than sata? no brainer to go with nvme?

      • +3

Only if your motherboard supports NVME

  • I've completely lost touch with hardware: are these compatible with Skylake NUCs?

  • ive got a 256GB ssd m2 nvme on the desktop motherboard, does anyone know how to clone the data from 256 ssd to 1TB?

Any adapter needed for the transfer?

    • # dd if=/dev/ssd1 of=/dev/ssd2

You just copy block by block, then resize the main partition, assuming it is last.

    • You can use macrium reflect (free version is perfectly sufficient for cloning) on windows, as long as you can have both drives connected to the PC at once (so you can copy from one to another).

  • "manage and improve SSD with the crucial storage executive tool"

i want to buy this just for the 'executive' tool, for my executive toolbox
