ThinkPad Ultra Docking Station - 40AJ0135AU - Universal Docking for 2018 T, L, X and X1 Series - $179.10 Delivered @ Price_war e

PRETZEL

My ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen6 from the latest deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/467301) finally got delivered today, so the next move is to find it a dock and I think 40AJ0135AU is one of the best fits after some research.
This seller asks $199 for it on eBay, which comes down to $179 by applying 10% off code(PRETZEL). As a comparison, Lenovo.com.au has it for $329 (https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/accessories-and-monitors/dockin…), and everywhere else asks for around $300 too, which makes $179 a pretty good price for such a productive docking station.

Maybe shitty to suggest something else in your deal post.
An alternative is to get the USB c dock.
Bit more portable and also you get compatibility with other laptops with other brands and phones. It's a bit more portable as well. But you lose a monitor ans you need to make sure to get the 90w version of the adapter.

  • I want HDR output and I don't think this dock supports it. Not mentioned in the specs.
