40% off Scrubba Stealth Wash Pack $77.97 Delivered @ The Scrubba

Stealth4019

Frequent cruisers swear by the scrubba wash bag to quickly and thoroughly wash clothes. Scrubba has come up with a way to turn the washbag into a backpack weighing less than 500g. It also serves as an outdoor shower and compression bag. I ordered the original scrubba but quickly lost it. I presume I threw it away in the envelope it came in. I’m buying this as a replacement. Every cruise I go on, I regret the loss.

I know this deal isn’t for most ozbargainers but it does represent good value as it apparently does a great job washing clothes, better than just hand washing.

The price includes shipping. I thhave no you can get the original lime green scrubba for about $15 less.

  • Oh, yeah, it’s a dry bag as well.

  • Do you run up and down the central staircase of a cruise ship wearing it?

    • I don’t run. Hard on the old joints. 💐

  • You accidentally threw away a backpack inside an envelope?

    • +1

It was the original scrubba bag. Weighs less than 200g. Made from the sort of material that exercise stretch bands are made of. I opened the envelope, saw what it was, left it in the envelope in the boot my car. I must have thrown it out with the other detritus. I can only try to emphasise how thin the scrubba is.

I often see a few scrubbas when I'm out cruising.

    • So, they’re not very stealth, but do come good after a wash?

  • Curious, how do you dry the washed clothes on a cruise?

    • +1

Roll in a dry towel and compress then let it air dry the rest of the way. Might get a bit cumbersome if you are washing lots but if the towels are being switched out every day, this would work well enough for a couple shirts.

    • Towels are changed at least twice per day, if you want and you can request extras. Some cruise lines, ie princess do have laundry facilities. Apparently these facilities become very hostile and contentious. Feral. I visited someone who was staying in a mental ward a few times and apparently the laundry was the number one problem. My cruise line does not. I get one free bag oflaundry per week, but prefer most items be hand washed.

  • Damn, I made it through the checkout then realised I didn't put the damn code in. I am so stupid :(

  • Why would anybody buy "the original lime green scrubba for about $15 less" when they can buy a dry bag on Ebay for around $10 which is what Scrubba copied the only difference is the lettering. Backpackers were using these a long time befor Scrubba came on the market. Best way to use them is take them in the shower with you fill and place on floor then pump up and down with your feet when showering.

    • Have you tried the Scrubba?

      • No but a scrubber owner compared it to my mates dry bag at a campsite we were at last year and walked away very disillusioned they looked identical as if they were made by the same company. The only difference was one had scrubber printed on it.

        • Goddamn you are full of crap.

It has thousands of tiny silicon beads on the inside and drainage valves, it is not simply a dry bag.

They own the patent you Muppet.

          • @Telios: Did you get conned into buying one? "It has thousands of tiny silicon beads on the inside and drainage valves, it is not simply a dry bag." not all do and they achieve nothing."They own the patent you Muppet." so many things have been patented over the years that were already in use around the world for many years the post knocker is on example it was used for at least 50yrs before being patented.

        • You can get by with a regular dry bag but the scrubba makes it easy easier, results in less mess, and for me my clothes come out cleaner. The valve makes a big difference compared with a regular dry bag, once you let the air out it's much easier to agitate the clothes.

Pretty expensive for what it is, but it's also good.

Doesn't sound like you're going to be convinced by words, but I think if you get a chance to try it you'll like it.

I was sceptical until I got one, and now the dry bag just sits in the cupboard.

  • Travel heaps with young kids and will give it a bash. Find clothes that are only hand washed aren't quite clean enough so this may be a solution. Thanks OP!
