These are recommended for shorter term efforts to correct posture.
Piss off with the downvotes when you have no idea what you're talking about.
For people standing up all day at their jobs, these are an excellent way to help posture problems- particularly people with shoulder blade/upper back issues.

Don't forget to keep lifting with your legs to keep your back weak too.

          Good joke :-)

These are a bad idea. They will result in a weakening of the muscles that naturally pull back your shoulders and in so doing exacerbate problems that were already there. Your posture will get worse not better.

The only real solution is to exercise as the person who was downvoted above suggested.

The only possible use for these would be for vanity reasons for e.g a special event - if someone wanted to appear to have better posture than they do.

    • I was wondering the same thing - the action of this device/strap will probably 'do the work' of the muscles that are supposed to help maintain correct posture

therefore, the muscles themselves will become weaker

however, what if we/is it possible to wear them in the opposite way they were designed - therefore it would actually engage those muscles more? a little bit like wearing a backpack on your chest.

      thoughts?

      • No for all sorts of reasons but mostly because you couldn't effectively isolate those muscles. Muscles are complex.

    Pretty bold claim.
