Caught this preview of the new JB Hi-Fi Catalogue coming up this week.

Buy Any iMac & Applecare Protection Plan and receive a Bonus Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 Home & Student.

So a basic iMac with AppleCare is $1,664, and Office on it's own is $199/179 from the Apple Store:

From the looks of it, it's the 3-User version of Office, not the single user, which also appears to come with a bonus Microsoft wireless mouse.

I know some people may not consider this to be a massive bargain, but I'd assume most people would need Office for Mac, so it's not a bad deal.

The mark up on AppleCare should more than cover the cost of Office for JB. Good thinking!

For people who work in a larger organisation which supports Microsoft home use program, you can get Microsoft Office (Home Use) for $15.

I reckon my comment will get heaps of negative votes… Let's see how many.

  Bought Office for Mac via Home use program (also visio for windows) - both at $15 ea.
  
  If you don't collaborate with people using office on windows then I'd say stick with OO, iWork etc.
  But for $15 it suits my use case.
