    great deal! thanks OP

  • +1

God damn, i was looking at the 3600 and now u do this to me :( argghhhhhh not sure if i should get the 3700x now

    • +1

I was in the same boat. Go for this if you can mate!

    • Depending what you are doing the 3600 could be a lot better price to performance. Just make sure you are going to get your moneys worth if you opt for the 3700x

  • +4

Just bought one, got free shipping by signing up for free ebayplus trial haha

  • Will x370 motherboards be supported?

    • +2

Should be with a bios update.

      • +1

may need to update bios with old cpu first, so be wary of that

      • thank god
x570 motherboards are as expensive as the cpus

  • +4

    Wow great deal! Thanks OP!

  • Epic. Bought 1. Thx op!

  • Shit, don't get paid till tomorrow, hopefully still in stock by then.

    • -4

      use a credit card.

  • +7

Also looking at grabbing this one for a new system once I do some research on best bang for buck motherboards and GPUs.

My 3570k has been overclocked and running 24/7 for 6 years and 4 months and deserves a break.

  • Awesome find! +1

  • +1

    damnnnn wheres the 3900x!

    • +2

They have it on their website. But it's on preorder everywhere, so they probably won't list it on ebay until they got the stock in.

    • +9

The 3900X is probably the SKU that will be in shortest supply.

We will be allocated a large chunk of the 1st batch coming into the country, but not certain of exact allocation or how we will distribute them. Should have some in the next week, or possibly 2. Uncertain how much stock will be available for AUS after the initial batch

      • So the 3400G and 3600 come with non-illuminated Wraith coolers?

      • Hey Rep,

I would be keen to get my hands on a 3900X as soon as possible, can you keep us posted when they arrive?

  • Man I need 3600…link people if see one TIA.

  • +4

Personally I would forego the first batch releases.

    Love you 3000.

  • -5

My 2700X arrives from PCCG tomorrow. should I send it back?

    • +1

      if you still can
idk how returns work when the product has already been shipped…

        • +1

Dick move should you refuse delivery..

          • @capslock janitor: It’d be cheaper to everyone than me manually posting it back. I think I’ll just ask them for the $10 price difference in a voucher, the price dropped $10 before it even arrived.

        • +2

what happens if you refuse it and they don't refund you or they try to send it again?

Also, why did you buy a 2700x only a few days from the launch of the 3000 series?

    • Compare the specs of the two CPU's and the price difference and make your own decision. Poor timing.

    • Good gravy, the price of the 2700X dropped $44 between ordering and arriving. 259 to 415.

  • +2

Considering the rrp is 329usd this price is amazing for Aussie launch.

  • Out of stock already… not surprised.

    • +9

I have reserved a small number for shop sales, but thats it for ebays allocation for now.

I expect to have another decent sized batch soon, probably a few days but not confirmed numbers as yet. they will go back up on ebay once we have a decent surplus back in stock (as will all other SKUs as they come in + the 570 mainboards).

      • No eBay price for shop sales?

        • I'm pretty sure eBay covers the discount, not the sellers (feel free to correct me…)

    • Back in stock!

  • This item is out of stock. :(

  • Showing out of stock as of 11:55pm AEST on 7/7

  • all gone haha

  • oh well i get to save $150+ getting a 3600 instead of 3700x

  • Been waiting and now sold out, however havent had good experiences with first batch releases especially with Tech stuff, so may be good it was sold out.

    • Some of the people would buy the limited stock just to sell off for a bit of profit lol

      • Yeah, i hate how people pounce on any and all chances to make an extra buck and while that is ok, sometimes it is just overkill.

    • Back in stock!

      • Thanks. Might hold out a little longer. I will be on holidays so wont get a chance to finish the build even if i buy now. Might end up happening that CA might have a 20% off by the time i get back. :)

  • +1

I'll probably make a build around this in November

  • +1

Was tempted to get this, added it to my cart when only a handful had been sold. Mulled over it while watching reviews and watched the stock levels drop before my eyes :)

Not really in a rush, will let the dust settle and do some research on RAM, motherboards, cases, PSUs. Will basically be building a whole new system.

  • What's the equivalent for an i5 that's decent for a midrange gaming pc? If I budget 1.5k for my gaming build, which AMD CPU should I pair with my 1660 Ti?

    • 3600,3600x,3700,3700x

Any of these CPUs will serve you well, they'll perform better than an i5 too. For example the 3700x outperforms Intel's flagship i9 9900k I believe. Definitely go for ryzen over Intel now. Just check out benchmarks and stuff for them, it's too late Rn but I might update with links and stuff.

      • +4

intel i9 9900k at BASE CLOCK is at 95w TDP

AMD i7 3700x at BOOST CLOCK is at 65w TDP

And the 3700X is faster.. haha RIP intel overpriced hot trash

        • +4

the two benchmarks i've watched so far still have Intel on top for gaming … but yea they get roasted for all things productivity based

          • @daleyboy79: Intel’s lead is ~5%, whilst AMD’s is ~30%+ based on the task. I’m going with AMD just because I know at some point in the future I’ll do some productivity and AMD has a massive lead.

          • +7

            @daleyboy79: 5% better gaming on a 9900k

            For
            No Free cooler
            50% more power
            50% more heat
            30% higher cost
            20% slower in EVERYTHING ELSE

Does not sound like a good deal it sounds like a bad purchase

AMD has better IPC now.. intel just has the boost clocks high enough to win with lightly threaded games.
PS5 and Xbox next will be 8 core Zen2 and optimized for Zen2

Future games will run better as most are just ported over to PC these days and will be more so once the new high powered consoles arrive next year.

        • +2

Think you meant AMD r7 not i7, but yeah it has much better power draw!

          • @Zazer: looks like the 3700x is good value.. and at this ebay sale price of $470 it was going for, even more so. These sold out pretty quick

  • +1

That was quick. Well done to those who got it!

  • Had I have been here an hour and a half earlier, I would have gotten this. ……………… ;( !

  • +1

Hope you guys like $700 RX 5700 non XTs and $600+ dollar ryzen3, check mwave. What a disgrace. Buy ryzen 2000s and RX 570/580/590 before they are all gone

    • well only upgrading my i3 3100T and board to a R7 3700X on this deal + B450 and keeping my RX470 :) no issues here :)

  • amd baby yeahhhh

    Praise Lisa Su

  • I love what I’m seing from these new cpus. Performance price but I’m not sure I have anything that needs more cores than 6 as it is.

I think in this instance it’s a case of build it and they’ll come later.

  • I ordered one without signing up to ebay plus.. can i get my shipping refunded if i sign up now?

    • nope!

      • cancel it ~ let the stock go back online ~

PM me ~ when you do it…. ;)

        • lol.. I'm going to have to eat the $15.. they are selling out at every single PC store around Australia and thats at the $519 + Postage price point

  • -7

Sad I missed this deal PCCG are gouging by $31 on the 3600x. Today’s exchange rate puts the US RRP at $358 and they’re charging 389. I can imagine the gouging is the same on the other models.

    (profanity) PCCG.

    • -1

Lmao downvote because of Australia tax?

Another example: PCCG 2600x is $309 USD vs $229 AUD on amazon US.

      Again, stuff PCCG.

      • +4

Did you forget GST? PCCG is hardly price gouging if they're charging under US RRP with GST added.

        • +2

Every single store is selling these 3000 series CPU's at the same price :) i checked.. All have added 10% GST ontop of US RRP

Not sure why people are singling out a single store.

  • came here for the "wait for 3rd gen ryzen" com….. oh wait…….

    • +5

      wait ryzen 4th gen.

      • Wait for new Threadripper!

  • Looking at building a PC based around the 3200G but slapping in a RX5700 depending on their price (budget around $250 for GPU) - Question is, is it worth going to the 3400G for an extra 100 bucks? Seems crazy that its $100 between the 3200 and the 3400? or am I missing something in terms of their performance.

PC is just gonna be a budget build for the partner at around $1000

Although the 5700 I just saw on Comp Alliance is going for $629 - wowsers :| for that price I'd go to a 2060 Super or something.

    • +5

Well, Ryzen 3200G and 3400G is based on Zen+ . NOT on Zen 2 :( . And the specs are nearly the same. If you getting an external GPU, why buy an APU? Look for deals on Ryzen 1600/2600.

      • what he said +1 100%

      • oh…I didn't realise the 3200G were not Zen 2.

Probably explains why they are basically the same price as 2200

I was basically going with the 3200/3400 just from a price perspective. But 239 for a 2600 probably isn't too bad, if that drops price with the new 3600 that probably wont be a bad buy.

        • +1

Yes see if you can snag a 3600 at a good price.

      • My first build I'm getting 2400G as placeholder while I find a reasonable GPU.

    • Mate, just get the 3600. You'll otherwise have the possibly of bottlenecking your gpu. Thats the setup i've gone for, 3600 and RX5700.
