why spend $3000+ to buy a small tv,go for laser projector

    • +6

      Quality over quantity.

      • +1

Yeah I agree. I have a beautiful large 130" projector theatre. I still prefer my 55 OLED for general viewing.

    • +1

Why not just watch it from your phone? Prob better quality display than the projector too.

    • +2

not for everyone, but new model, use 28 degrees to purchase & your covered up to $1000 price protection if it drops further over 12months

      • Only if you're paying for price protection which is a % of your balance every month.

    • +1

      Great comparison.

Comparing the latest 120hz 4K OLED TV with VRR etc to a cheap projector. Clearly equal products.

The price of the LG 65c9 was 100$ less 8 days ago. Panasonic are launching their 2019 OLEDs this month which support HDR+ and Dolby Vision so LG are really feeling the heat and there will be a price war in this segment since only LG and Sony supported Dolby Vision as of now…

    • your right didnt notice that

    • +2

No price war… LG make all the panels.

  • Are there any discounts for the 77 inch?

  • +1

Price has dropped now to $3720 + delivery after discount.

    I just ordered, thanks!

  • Great reviews for this TV, and I would highly recommend it for general viewing if the Automatic Brightness Limiter and risk of permanent burn-in is not an issue. The latter probably limits its use for gaming due to static content on the screen (eg. HUDs). Do your research…

    Great review: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/c9-oled

    Burn-in information: https://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/real-life-oled-burn-in-test

  • Thanks for your help guys, just ordered for $3,761 incl delivery
Initially couldn't use PINENUT only POLAR20 was available for $300 off
I had to sign up to eBay Plus but spending $49 (per year) to save $600+ is a good deal

  • +1

Surprised not more upvotes, seems like a really good deal no?

    • Agreed it's an amazing deal considering the c9 only came out a few months ago. If it wasn't for my big holiday coming up I would have defs bought this. But with the new oled factory being complete next month we can expect quicker price drops.

  • Picked up one over the weekend. Really nice TV, stunning picture and very good price at the moment. Prices are always destined to go down but, I figured if I continue to wait another year or 2, then next technology will be around the corner and you always question your decision.

  • Hi guys, could anybody please help with where I can get the best price for the C9 at the moment?
The best that I am getting offered is still around $4,500.

  • +1

Thanks so much RogueWolf, I can be patient for an extra 20%.
I’ll keep an eye on Appliance Central and Videopro 😁

    • +1

no probs, while your being patient you should sign up to 28Degrees credit card use this to purchase the tv (has no annual fee) & you will be covered up to $1000 purchase protection if the price drops in 12m from purchase

  • +1

Thanks for that RogueWolf, I've just picked up the 65C9 for $3,600 incl. delivery and another 55C9 for the $2,150. Worth waiting for, appreciate the heads-up!
Using the PUFFIN code with Ebay Plus worked immediately.

    • no probs.. awesome, was worth the wait lol
