  Cheers. My 18 months were up in May, was just waiting for a good deal.
  Don't like the Annual Fee but as I use the domestic flight every year from PER - MEL it offsets that.
  Points earn is great so wont need to cancel.

  Does anyone know when you do a balance transfer does the new provider cancel the old provider or do you need to do that yourself?

    I believe you will still need to cancel the card once the balance transfer happens.

  I have the explorer card and was thinking of cancelling and my wife signing up for this one.
  Can I refer her and get 40,000 points and she will still get the normal sign on bonus for this one?

    I think the Virgin one has a cap on how many points you can earn, and the point earn on spend isn't as good as the velocity card.
